Scenic & Serene Rapid City Getaway on 1 1/2 Acres!

We stayed here for our annual girls' trip and had a lovely time. The house is exactly as described, with very comfortable beds, a spacious bathroom, and lots of room to spread out. Kathy, the host, lives on site and gave us a warm welcome, complete with great tourism tips! It was wonderful to be able to come back to this home base every day to clean off the trail dirt and relax. We would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic Stay – Perfect Location and Wonderful Host!We had an amazing experience at this property! The location couldn’t be better—close to all the major sites and attractions, which made getting around super easy. The home was spotless, well-maintained, and fully stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It truly felt like a home away from home. The owner was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Property was clean, spacious, with a great layout to spread out and relax. Host communication was fantastic and we appreciated having coffee and snacks available on arrival. Minutes from downtown but still felt very much secluded.

We got into town after dark and the host left the light on for us. The location is great - a few minutes out from town conveniences but feels much farther out. The house was super clean and cozy, perfect for my family of four. The host was available, helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

It was PERFECT! The home was beautiful, clean and had everything you needed to cook and make your stay just like home! The process was easy and location was perfect as we were not but 30 miles or so from everywhere we went.

We (two parents and two adult children) stayed here for four nights, and it was our home base for our Black Hills excursions. Although in western Rapid City (10 minutes from downtown and a few minutes from a large grocery store), it feels like you are further removed from the city and in the Hills. We saw mule deer, white tail deer, and wild turkeys wandering through the yard every morning. The home itself was beautiful and perfect for us: an exceptionally clean and comfortable space with unexpected hospitality amenities (coffee, snacks, etc). If you plan to use the three season room, you might want to bring some comfortable camp chairs as there are only two chairs in the room. We actually used this space a lot, so we are glad we brought our two collapsible camp rockers.Without hesitation we would book this home again if we wanted the convenience of Rapid City on a Black Hills vacation. This really is a gem and highly recommended.

What an amazing location and host, so serene to see wildlife out your window when you wake up. This was a very relaxing home to come back to once you have finished a long day of work, would book again!

Our hostess met us upon check in. The house was spotless and had everything and more of what we needed. We really enjoyed sitting on the porch relaxing. It is easy to find and close to several restaurants for a quick meal out.

We immensely enjoyed our stay. The house was great. Clean, comfortable, and perfect for our family. We had the amenities we needed to use it as a base as we explored the area. We cooked meals at the house, and grilled a couple times. Close distance to lots of activities. We also loved watching the wildlife in the front yard and walking through and exploring the backyard. We enjoyed our stay in Rapid City, and this house was a great Home base for us. We were able to quickly and easily get to lots of destinations (Mt. Rushmore, Reptile Gardens, the Watiki Waterpark, etc.) We loved that the house seemed removed from the city, and our kids loved walking in the trees and watching for all of the wildlife nearby (deer, turkey, lots of rabbits, and birds!) The house was beautiful and spacious. We were able to grill and cook some meals. And the beds were comfortable and worked fine for our family of 6. Kathy was easy to work with. Great place to stay!

We totally enjoyed our stay. The home was in a very quiet area. And so clean and pretty. We especially enjoyed the outdoor areas. We saw deer right outside the window. Our hostess was always quick to respond to any questions, and so friendly. I would definitely recommend this place for a fantastic vacation to the Black Hills.

We stopped in Rapid City as part of a 3 week vacation. So much to do and see in this area. The home makes you feel like you are at home. Kitchen well stocked so you can make a meal if you choose. We saw deer, bunnies and turkeys from the front window. We had a mishap on our dates and needed an extra day and host worked with us. Highly recommend this place!
