Stayed Dec 31, 1969Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful country home on a lovely large section close enough to town but just far enough away to enjoy quiet rural living. Photos don't do this home justice, it truly is a very special place to stay. Greeted by a large open kitchen, dining and living area with a stunning large bathroom it was both clean and tidy and felt very homely. The Homestead was a real pleasure to stay at and would thoroughly recommend this home and it's host Joanne of Bach Break New Plymouth.

Well equipped kitchen, and beautiful garden. Older property but in good nick. Good value for a group all wanting a separate bedroom, or for a big familyThe 4th bedroom is in a separate building with no plumbing, just be aware. Also the main toilet had awful water pressure, 1 flush per couple of hours - ended up using buckets to help!

Stayed Jan 9, 2023Lovely location House is in need of a little TLC. The impressive looking bathroom lacked any water pressure for the fancy shower head and it would have been good to have a floor squeegee to mop up the water. Lounge furniture could do with an upgrade. The ripped couch didn't quite fit with the overall grandeur of the rest of the property. Was great that we could take our dog along. Host was friendly and curteous.

Kitchen was great to prepare meals in ...very big island bench so many hands etc. Great outdoor area for games ... easy drive to New Plymouth and beyond. All in all a wonderful family Christmas holiday. Thanks
