This 2,800 sq ft, 5-bedroom, 3-bathroom home sits on 2 acres with incredible San Juan Gateway views, a spacious backyard, shaded gazebo deck, and parking for up to three 16-foot trailers—perfect for family gatherings, outdoor enthusiasts, and mountain adventurers.

The split-level layout offers two generous living spaces. Upstairs, the cozy living room opens to panoramic views of the San Juan Gateway. Step out onto the wrap-around deck to enjoy your morning coffee, an evening drink, or a grill-cooked meal. The dining room seats six, while the adjacent sunroom provides a warm, enclosed space to take in the scenery year-round.

The primary bedroom features a king-sized bed and ensuite bathroom. Two additional bedrooms (queen and full) are also on the main level, with a fully remodeled bath across the hall.

Downstairs, a spacious family room with sliding glass doors opens to the backyard, and an infrared sauna offers the perfect post-hike or après-ski retreat. Two more bedrooms (queen and full) and a full bathroom complete this level.

You'll love the summer music series in Ouray's Fellin Park! In the winter months bring your snowshoes, ice climbing gear, or Nordic skis and enjoy downhill skiing in Telluride, a scenic 60-minute drive from Ouray! Ice climbing at the world-famous Ouray Ice Park boasts more than 150 named ice and mixed climbs, spanning almost 2 miles of the Uncompahgre Gorge. After a day of adventure enjoy a variety of great local restaurants, breweries, distilleries, live entertainment venues, and the ever-popular Ouray Hot Springs.

Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time of the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any such changes will result in a penalty. Cancellations or changes that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.

    We enjoyed our stay at the property. We got married on Wednesday 9/24 up on Yankee Boy Basin. My parents and our kids stayed with us. It was great. Only thing is the outside lights didn’t work. Made it hard to see when coming and going at night. Overall great place.

    Home was clean, amazing location, lots of privacy, fully stocked kitchen and was perfect for our group of ten. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend. Loved the vinatge touches! We had nightly deer visits and even a large black bear in the middle of the night. Stay bear aware!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is older with a lot of DIY done to it. It was a great house for our large group. We had nine people stay - mostly guys. The downstairs living room made an excellent bedroom. It was unseasonably hot - high 80s every day. Fans were provided, but they didn’t help much. We opened all windows. Take a box fan if it’s going to be warm. The house was well supplied with towels, paper and dishes. It served our group well. We’ll stay here again because the price is great for what you get. Also, it is 8-10 minutes outside of Ouray.

    Upstairs King Bed Bathroom has a leak. After a shower, the floor has water on it. Major leak. Kitchen is dirty. Really needs a thorough cleaning. The internet stopped working, we reset multiple times, but no resolution.     Check-in process was easy and provided all of the information needed. Kitchen facilities was clean and offered a lot of appliances and dishes which was great for our large group. Loved the antique dishes and silverware. Wi-Fi was sometimes spotty but that's normal for the area. We loved the deer that came on the property to say hello. Would love to stay there again!

    We were pleased with our stay here and didn't mind staying out of town a bit. It was nice to have extra space for the kids to run around and play, and we made the short drive to do the Box Canyon Falls hike and eat in town one day. Plus we got lots of fresh snow during our stay so they had a blast around the property. I've outlined some specific pros and cons, bu overall we had a great first to Ouray and would choose to stay here again!Pros: The size and layout of the house worked great for 2 families to hang out together! Beautiful artwork on the walls, comfortable beds and couches, and the gas fireplaces were very convenient. LOVED the sauna - I used it every night. We were impressed with the variety of kitchen utensils and cookware that was stocked in the kitchen and our kids enjoyed playing board games. It was clear that the owners put a lot of thought into this rental and making guests comfortable. There was a glued-together coaster & cracked glass lamp that our kids accidentally broke further but when we texted the owners, they were very understanding. Cons: On the surface the home was overall clean. However, we found lighters, trash and socks underneath a few of the beds. One of the carpet staples in the upstairs living area was loose and I stepped on it, deeply puncturing my foot. The owners were apologetic and asked if there was anything they could do. We threw away the staple and did not find anymore so no action was required.

    It would be helpful to have a house number on the drive or house. We were not sure we were at the correct house.The house had everything that was listed, but there are 2 safety issues I'd suggest you look into. The hot water temperature is dangerously hot enough to scald someone, and I would hate a child to be seriously burned. The other thing was the stove had a hot burner in the morning after being off all night. I noticed because it was melting the egg carton.

    We very much enjoyed our stay. The location of the property is perfect, it's quiet and very dark at night for viewing stars. The house worked well for our group, there was plenty of space, it was clean, there were lots of towels and the kitchen had everything we needed. The patio was nice with a great view and plenty of seating. We would definitely stay here again.

    We enjoyed our 4 night stay near Ridgeway. It was great to grill food and enjoy the deck space in the evenings in a quiet neighborhood. There is plenty of space for parking vehicles and trailers. The property is as pictured... like grandma's house that hasn't changed much since the 70's. It was nice to spread the group over 5 bedrooms and we had ample living space. Cell service was good upstairs. The WIFI was usable throughout the house and understandably slow (5mbps) considering the remote location. There aren't many locations that offer this much indoor and outdoor space near Ouray and certainly not at this price point.
