A well appointed single level, 1,300 sqft cottage, a little over 100 yards from quiet beach access. This open, 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath home is on a quaint and quiet side street lined by old oak trees. The wooded surroundings of the home provides great opportunities to see foxes, frogs, raccoons and deer many months of the year. You are far enough away from the road to not hear cars traveling up and down the island. Most times you'll only hear the sound of waves hitting the beach. Very little ambient light from other houses or street lights, so lots of great star viewing.

Bring your EV! A 240VAC/50A, NEMA 14-50 outlet is available in the parking area for you to use for charging your vehicle. A charger is not supplied so bring your preferred travel charger with you.

The beach area in front of the access point is not crowded because of the lack of nearby 'house density' or public Access. It is a quiet area with lots of families. Only 1.5 miles from downtown Surf City and the pier.

The Kitchen is fully appointed with lots of flatware for serving great meals. Includes a coffee maker, food processor, toaster oven, crock pot, blender and a myriad of pots of pans for cooking a wonderful meal. There is bar seating at the kitchen counter for 4 and a custom farmhouse dining table that will seat 6.

    Our second year in a row staying at Sandy Crack and we couldn't love it more! Ian is such a thoughtful and amazing host! Clear communication, clean, lots of homey touches to make our stay amazing. Easy and quick access to the beach with a private beach access. Quiet road with nice neighbors. Just such a gem of a place. Everything you need in the kitchen, some added touches like books and movies, comfy beds, a super comfy couch. I could go on and on! A very special mention that Ian and his family left a very thoughtful card (and gift card to our favorite spot - Shaka Taco) in rememberable of our dog who passed away suddenly just a week before our trip. We couldn't believe this kind gesture and it brought tears to my partners eyes. We are still in awe of how nice this small but amazingly kind gesture was! Sandy Crack and Ian are truly incredible!!

    This property was amazing. It had everything that we looked for. The kitchen had so many frying pans and pots. Every gadget that you could imagine. Very close to the beach. We really enjoyed our stay.

    Love, love love, Sandy Crack. This was our fifth year and everything is just like it should be relaxing, easy enjoyable convenient I can hear the waves and hear the birds.     We had an excellent stay at Ian's! This was our fourth year coming to Topsail / Surf City, our first staying at Ian's and it was our favorite stay thus far. Excellent communication. We had an issue when we arrived to a clogged toilet, Ian communicated swiftly, found a solution and a plumber was there the next morning fixing the issue (previous guests at some point flushed some paper towels). Ian even sent over a text to let us know about a weather related updated from Surf City. Despite the fact we had a very rainy week, we still managed to enjoy Ian's place and our vaca! Everything was clean and well appointed. Kitchen was great, dining area worked well for dinner and game nights, all the bedrooms were comfy and the showers were great. Honestly, a really fantastic place and Ian communicated effectively and efficiently. We'd definitely stay again. Thanks Ian!

    Overall this was an excellent property for a quick trip to the beach. While it isn’t on the beachfront, the location was super close and convenient. I appreciated so many small details, that really go into making a rental feel comfortable—from the ease of the door code entry, to the clean fresh scent upon entering, the charging port outlets, to the comfortable back deck seating. I would highly recommend this property and would definitely book again.
