Sandy Bottoms - Beach & Creek Escape

We had an excellent stay. Clean, exactly as described and an attentive host. It was an added bonus to be able to use the kayaks to explore the riverways. We would absolutely stay again! Highly recommend.

Clean and well equipped for a family stay

The house was extremely clean on arrival, lawns freshly mowed and pool sparkling. We utilised the bbq and the outdoor dining- lovely breeze sitting out there in the evenings. The house was well stocked with essentials and good quality cutlery and crockery. We accessed the creek from across the road and did the float down to the ocean which was fun and took just over an hour. Beds were comfy. The pool was very refreshing but a couple of us found it a bit of a challenge getting in and out as it is a deep step in but this was due to age ( mid 60’s- 70’s) and some knee issues but we did manage. Would definitely stay at Sandy Bottoms again - it has a good holiday vibe.

Michael was a great Host. Everything was clean and well maintained. The pool was beautiful and there were thoughtful touches that made the stay perfect.

Great location

The house was clean and well-maintained, offering a pleasant stay overall. However, the ensuite bathroom was quite compact, so we opted to use the main bathroom for showers. We did encounter lots of ants and a few small cockroaches, which was a bit of a downside. Additionally, while there’s no air conditioning, the ceiling fans do a decent job, and with the front and back doors open, there’s a nice cross breeze. One thing to note is that there was no clothes dryer or hair dryer, which I expected to be standard amenities. The location of accomodation is right across from the creek but a fair distance from the life guard patrolled area of the beach so we drove and parked closer to the beach. The house is on the small side - there is no separate dining area so we ate at the kitchen island bench but there is a decent size dining area outside if you wanted to eat outside.

We had a great time . House was beautiful host was great and really appreciated the gift from them , it was a quiet getaway for my wife’s 40th birthday so the bottle of wine was a perfect gift . Kids loved the pool . A very relaxing stay for us , wish we could have stayed longer , Thank you .we will definitely book this house again

Great location for a beach getaway

Perfect place for either a weekend girls getaway (which we did) or perfect for a family trip. Definitely will be recommending this property to family and friends.

Great house, facilities and location! Beautiful and clean and had everything you could need. Even though it was a bit chilly, the pool was a fantastic bonus too. Loved it!

Such a lovely warm, spacious, modern, spotlessly clean home. Comfy beds and convenient, lovely linen hire. Loved the little extras that made it easy for us like detergent, dishwashing capsules, washing detergent, soap, cooking oil, salt and pepper, cling wrap (etc) and especially the bottle of bubbles and chocolate when we arrived.Hat Head is such a lovely quiet town, and you can walk everywhere from this location including the beach, headland, local cafe, bowls club and general store. We loved Sandy Bottoms and our stay. Highly recommend.

Felt very welcome at this property. Excellent communication and easy check in process. House is bright, clean and really well equipped. Great location, quiet and an easy walk to beach and shop. Bottle of wine and hand written note a nice surprise. Would happily stay here again.

Our second stay at Sandy bottoms and we absolutely love it. Will book again. Went kayaking down to the river mouth, spent time fishing and swimming in the beautiful creek straight across the street. House is always beautiful and clean on arrival. Highly recommended

Sandy Bottoms was ideal for our family to enjoy a couple of nights in Hat Head. An easy walk to local shops and the beach made it perfect for our little kids. Everything was super clean, extra thought was put in, and communication was easy with Michael. Loved it!

On arrival we found the property to be very clean and tidy. A beautiful property all the modern luxuries.We were greated with kangaroos and rosellas in the morning. The area was lovely and quiet. The sound of the waves crashing on the sand was so relaxing.
