Sandal Escape: 6BR Canal Front Oasis w/ Heated Pool, Dog-Friendly, Dockage & Fast Atlantic Access

Our trip started off with a call that the home we had booked months ago was no longer available due to a licensing issue. I understand things happen, but it was a major disappointment as we had carefully chosen that particular home for our family vacation to celebrate my parents 60th wedding anniversary. Luckily another home was available for us with similar accommodations. My parents needed to be on the main level and there was a room with a separate entrance off the pool, but as soon as I opened the door I was hit with a strong musty odor. There was a damp-rid bag hanging from the clothes rack and a giant dehumidifier next to the bed. Not the beautiful accommodations I had wanted for my mom and dad. I called Tina right away and she sent someone over to move the queen bed into the main floor bedroom that had a trundle/day bed in there. We put the day bed in the family room. This worked out well for my mom and dad and the daybed actually gave extra seating space in the family room for our large group of 11. We used the musty room as a pool room and a place for my boys to shower. The house is beautifully updated with a clean beachy feel. The kitchen was well appointed but could definitely use some cloth dish towels. The outside area has a table with chairs, and lounge chairs around the pool. The pool was very nice and clean. We had kayaks and paddle boards delivered to use off the canal. There was a manatee mama and baby in the canal! We used the grill multiple times and when the tank ran out, they were over right away with a replacement. The upstairs bedrooms were very spacious with the most comfortable bedding I think I've had in a rental home. Bathrooms could've been bigger, but they were very nicely upgraded, and they gave us plenty of towels. The best part of the house was the hotel style ice machine in the garage! So great for a large group. There were a nice washer and dryer as well. The garage had beach chairs and umbrellas. It's about a 5-minute drive to Sombrero beach, but we only went once as the sargassum was pretty bad there. Nothing is far away and there is a cute ice cream/pie shop and beach shops right around the corner. We had an issue with the air conditioner upstairs one morning, but after a phone call it was taken care of immediately. We appreciated their prompt response to everything on this trip! Outside of the initial frustration of the change of house, we had a wonderful stay.

The house overall was great! The house was clean and accommodated all of us - 7 adults and 3 dogs comfortably. The beds were super comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. The flooring was a little sketchy in places and hope they replace a few of the floor boards. The pool was a great size but we did have a complication with the pool filtering and ended up having to tell the management company. The outdoor area was a little tight to eat outside or run for coverage in a rain storm. The seawall was great for two boats - 22ft and 25ft. The garage was a huge plus and we were able to store all our stuff out of the way, they had an outdoor fridge, AND an amazing ice machine. Parking was so great and we were able to have room for 3 trucks, 2 trailers, and a full-size SUV. Overall fantastic vacation and we will DEFINITELY be staying here again SOON!

Great location. The pool was a huge bonus and the direct access to open water. Would recommend iTrip for all of your Marathon vacation needs!

Amazing stay. Ice machine was life changing. Cannot wait to go back. Pool was amazing and canal had easy access to ocean. The beds were so comfy. We had everything we needed and more. We cannot wait to stay here again!

Great location. Clean and modern.

We rented this house for our family vacation and the location was great. There were 8 of us ranging from age 20 to 87 years old. The arrangement of beds/rooms fit our needs and we also had to have a pool. We did not have a boat but we still wanted to have the canal for some fishing/wildlife watching. I asked everyone on the trip what they would rate the house and our average would be a 3.75 stars but that was not on option. The house met our needs but overall the house seemed like it was lacking in details. Good details: ice maker in garage, extra fridge/freezer in garage, luggage racks in closets, box fans in closets, great outdoor balcony upstairs. Not good details: broken ceiling fan in bedroom, cold water for showers in the extra room at back of garage, limited kitchen supplies for cooking, no basic cleaning products to wipe off the counters etc, seemed like some diy repairs/projects that weren't the best quality (gaps in tile on balcony, loose screw in door locks, railing mounted too high on stairwell?, no shelf in showers (my 87 year old mom can't bend over to get shampoo/soap off the shower floor!) These family vacations are a big splurge for us. Last year our house in Pensacola was much better so this one was a little disappointing.

The pool was great. It made the week. We did not have a pet.

THE HOUSE & AREA WERE GOOD---- WE HAD TOOO MANY PEOPLE FOR 4 BATHS. BUT THAT WAS MY BAD. ANY PROBLEM WAS DEALT WITH QUICKLY. HOUSE WAS VERY CLEAN & HAD LOTS OF DISH & PANS. GREAT AREA FOR MARATHON, BEEN GOING THERE FOR OVER 50 YEARS.

Great home lots of space. Great kitchen for cooking. We parked our rented boat on the dock which was super convenient Right next to the water The back yard could use more furniture

This house was perfect for our family of 12!! 5 bedrooms inside with house with a 6th in an apartment style. The home is on an inlet right off the ocean. The home was fully stocked with tons of towels, pans, dishes, everything you need. You just need to buy the food. We WILL be back! This is one of our favorites so far!

2 familys, plenty of room and everything we needed. Great host communications. Would definitely stay again
