Sand Nickels Hoopers Bay Beachfront Villa

Best vacation I have ever experienced and based on my time on the island, the best location. This house was perfect: right on the beach, beach almost always completely empty but absolutely stunning. Couldn’t have asked for anything more!

Sand Nickels is truly a tropical paradise. The pictures online show an accurate description of the house and views, but the backyard of palm trees is far more beautiful than pictured. The property is very private. There were times we were the only ones on the beach. It is quiet and you can hear the palm trees rustling and the waves crashing. Truly tranquil and relaxing! The kitchen was well equipped and the house was stocked with fun activities. We especially loved the kayaks! Hooper Bay's is large, but shallow. The waters are calm. It was perfect for pool floats in the ocean and exploring with the kayaks:) The bathrooms are beautiful and the beds are comfy.The owner was easy to converse with before the trip and the management company was easy to access while on island. Exuma is a peaceful, calm island that is not overcrowded or over developed. This was our 8th island in the Caribbean and our favorite!! Thank you Sand Nickels for an unforgettable experience!!

Great location, nice place with all the amenities

Wonderful location and stay.

There were 3 of us, ages 82, 48 and 13 on this trip to Exuma. Sand Nickels was incredibly clean, well furnished and located in a fantastic spot. Communication with owner/property manager was excellent and responsive. The house was beautiful. Everything flowed nicely from room to room. The bathrooms were lovely with benched showers. We also loved all the art and little beachy touches/decor. The balcony and decks provided panoramic, breathtaking views of Hoopers Bay. Previously if you’d asked my favorite spot on the island, I would have said Tropic of Cancer. Now, it’s Hoopers Bay. The water was always calm, allowing for kayaking and long hours of swimming and snorkeling. It was a short walk from the deck to the water, which was greatly appreciated by our 82 year old guest. The outdoor shower and hose were also a great benefit. My son has already declared that he wants to come back to this house when we next travel to Exuma. My ONLY small recommendation would be for the owners to put a set of heavier drapes over the sheers. The sun poured into our bedroom at 6:30 every morning, and we’re not early morning people. If you like to sleep in past dawn in the summer, I recommend bringing a sleep mask with you. Otherwise, A+, 5 stars, top notch place to stay! Would definitely book here again!

This was our 2nd time staying at Sand Nickels and it was spectacular! We love it so much there we are returning in Aug 2024! The views from the home are breathtaking and the convenience of being on the water and close proximity to stores/shops/restaurants is great! Great place and exactly like the pictures/description.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at a beautiful beach house in Exuma, and it was an experience I will cherish forever. The house itself was stunning, with a perfect blend of modern amenities and charming island decor. Spacious and airy, it offered breathtaking views of the turquoise waters from almost every room. The private beach access was a highlight, allowing us to step out onto pristine, white sands whenever we wished. The outdoor deck and lounge area were perfect for relaxing and enjoying the serene surroundings. Every evening, we were treated to spectacular sunsets that made our stay even more magical. The location of the beach house was ideal for exploring Exuma's natural beauty and attractions. We were just a short drive from the famous Pig Beach, where we swam with the friendly pigs, and close to some fantastic local restaurants offering delicious Bahamian cuisine. The house was well-equipped with everything we needed, from a fully stocked kitchen to comfortable beds that ensured restful nights. The hosts were incredibly accommodating, providing us with helpful tips and ensuring our stay was smooth and enjoyable. Overall, this beach house in Exuma provided the perfect setting for a relaxing and unforgettable vacation.

House was perfection. Perfect for a family of four or two couples. The views -incredible. Enjoyed kayaking and paddleboards. Plenty of kitchen utensils, storage, spices, condiments. Everything was literal perfection. We will be back! Highly recommend.

This was our first time visiting Exuma and we had the most wonderful stay! Sand Nickels is a beautiful home and fully equipped with everything you need plus more. The views from the deck are breathtaking and the property grounds are lush and private. The location is central to everything. Our host so thoughtful. We were there for a 50th birthday celebration and she had a bottle of Moscato and a birthday card waiting for us. We highly recommend Sand Nickels and cannot wait to return!
