The space
Welcome to Casa San Diego! Tucked into the charming, tree-lined streets of Grant Hill — one of San Diego's oldest and most walkable neighborhoods — Casa San Diego is our love letter to the city we call home. We built this house room by room as a tribute to the places and moments that make San Diego special, and we hope it gives you a little taste of everything we love about it, all under one roof.
The Space
This 3-bedroom, 2-bath home comfortably sleeps up 10 guests (more if you're getting extra cozy) across four uniquely themed spaces:
A Coronado-inspired king suite, capturing the breezy, coastal charm of the island's iconic beaches and the Hotel Del
An Old Town room with two queen beds, inspired by San Diego's birthplace and its rich Mexican and early-California heritage
A Comic-Con-themed room with a queen-over-full bunk, a playful nod to the pop-culture energy that takes over downtown every summer
A Downtown-inspired living room with a queen sleeper sofa, echoing the skyline and buzz of the Gaslamp Quarter
When it's time to unwind, take your pick: challenge your crew to indoor shuffleboard, head to the backyard for bocce, cornhole, or giant Jenga, then settle in for a movie — cozy up inside with the 65 TV, or stretch out under the stars with our backyard projector.
Location, Location, Location
Grant Hill is one of San Diego's best-kept secrets — a quiet, residential neighborhood that puts you minutes from everything:
* Balboa Park & the San Diego Zoo — about a mile away, easily walkable or a quick rideshare
* Downtown San Diego & the Gaslamp Quarter — around 2 miles, just a short drive or bike ride
* Petco Park — roughly 2 miles, perfect for catching a Padres game or concert
* Old Town San Diego — about a 10-minute drive
* Coronado Island — around a 15–20 minute drive across the bridge
* San Diego's beaches (Mission Beach, Pacific Beach, and beyond) — roughly 20–25 minutes by car
Workspaces and WiFi: The Comic Con room includes a workspace with a adjustable standing desk. The dining room table and extendable coffee table can also double as workspaces. Enjoy great WiFi through AT&T Fiber, typically reaching speeds of up to 300–400 Mbps.
Please note: Street parking only, but we’re adjacent to the back of a school, so it’s ample and easy to find on our block.
Whether you're here for a family reunion, a milestone birthday, or just a weekend with friends, we hope Casa San Diego feels like your home base for exploring everything this city has to offer. We poured our love for San Diego into every corner of this house — we can't wait for you to experience it, and we hope you fall in love with our city as much as we have!
Guest access
The whole space is yours to enjoy! We have electronic locks on both front and back doors to ensure you are able to get it easily. This home is not wheelchair accessible, there is a small set of porch stairs required to enter the property.
Other things to note
Our neighbors love their animals! Our next door neighbor has chickens who like to hang out the front bushes and people-watch. The neighborhood cat Gus loves to stop by and say hi and hang in the shade. We are also across from a school. If you are here on weekdays, you may hear the bells and kids laughing at recess.
