Things To Do

Topsail Island is a hidden gem along the NC coast, known for its pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and charming coastal towns like Surf City. From sunbathing and swimming to fishing and surfing, there are plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy on this beautiful island. Explore the local shops and restaurants, take a fishing cruise out with an area fishing guide, or simply relax on the beach and soak up the sun. With so much to see and do on Topsail Island, your vacation will be filled with unforgettable memories and moments of pure relaxation. Topsail Island is a 28-mile-long barrier island made up of marshes, estuaries, dunes, and shorelines. Sandwiched between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway, “Tops’l” as the locals call it, is home to several fishing piers including the Seaview Fishing Pier. 875 feet of planks were used to construct this pier, which is the longest pier on the North Carolina coast. Privately owned shops, restaurants and attractions abound on Topsail, as well as the neighboring mainland towns. Learn the history of Topsail at the Missiles and More Museum and understand how to be a good steward of the sea at the Touch Tank Aquarium in Surf City and the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue & Rehabilitation Center for laid back and family friendly things to do on Topsail. Each of these attractions offers its own unique charm and adds to the allure of a vacation on Topsail Island.

We look forward to your visit!

The property convenience was great. The home had a significant foul odor that was not minimized with Febreeze and candles. When we arrived, there were no linens or bath towels which were supposed to be included. I had to call the property management FIVE times with the threat of calling every five minutes if I did not receive a call back. At 10:45pm on the day of checkin, we finally got bath towels and sheets for the beds. I called again the day before we left and left a message asking for a callback and never received a call back. I will never book a rental property using Sea Coast Rentals again. They do not provide any customer service whatsoever.

The property is definitely in need of some tlc but we loved it and would stay here again.I will point out the negatives, but please know that management was very responsive and fixed the issues as best they could. We had our dog with us. She loved the large fenced yard. The negative is that some of the rails needed fixing so as not to have gaps in the fence where she could escape. Maintenance came and fixed those ares the next day.If you have a small dog or one that tends to get out, this property might not be for you as the steps are open and dogs can slip out. Solution for management might be to add maybe some chicken wire or plastic netting to the underside of the stairs. We always sat outside with the dog to keep an eye on her and luckily she did not investigate that she could get out by going through the stairs. The laundry room is under the building. The appliances are pretty rusted on the outside (not unexpected since this is at the beach). They worked just fine. The grill is not usable and should be replaced or deleted from the description of the property. If you like to grill, you would need to bring your own.Now for the positives which far outweigh the negatives. The location and proximity to the beach is phenomenal. Beds are comfortable. Absolutely cleanest beach i have ever been to. There was a wagon to use to bring all your beach gear to the beach. You do have to lift it up the stairs. We like that it just helped us keep out gear a bit more tidy.

My husband, Jack Russell Terrier Fur daughter, and I stayed here Oct 12-16, 2023 for a long birthday weekend. It's an awesome beach cottage, fully stocked, ample space, the fenced in backyard is awesome, and the proximity to the beach cannot be beat! We lucked out with terrifically warm weather and was able to view the solar eclipse. There's plenty of space to cook, eat, and lounge at night. No occupied neighbors so it was very quiet too, close to shopping and gas for last minute items. There's laundry but it is outside the cottage on the first level, not a huge deal because we travel with a collapsible laundry basket, and it functioned perfectly. Linens were included, nice and clean (wrapped so also hygienic) with plenty of towels. We only had to call PM once and they instantly rectified the issue (digital lock was stuck due to moisture). Overall, we 'd love to go back, thanks for the super memories!

Loved the house, the proximity to the beach was wonderful. The only way it would have been better was to be directly on the beach. Very quiet area - we loved that we could bring our dog and that the beach is so dog friendly. King sized bed was comfortable. You rent the linens and they are in a plastic tub on the porch. We had a small issue with the cable and someone was there almost immediately and corrected the problem. Definitely will rent here again.

We loved the location of this cottage! It was clean and comfortable. We loved that the kitchen was updated and was extremely well supplied. The shower was great too. We would definitely look to return.

Great location with easy access to the beach & ocean view. Nice deck & backyard. Living area and kitchen bright & sunny with plenty of space. Bathrooms, especially showers would benefit from better cleaning. Could not use closet in one bedroom due to pet odors.

Lots of work needs to be done to maintain safety. Swing under house leaned back ended up flipping grown adult out onto concrete. Bunk bed screws cam off and toddler felt backwards off of bed-someone cane that day but was not able to repair it; water way TOO hot burn hazard for toddlers. Short in master bedroom-plug in and light did not work; dirty floors on arrival; location-perfect! Less than 50 steps to beautiful sand and sea; beds soft, linens were nice,

Just steps from the beach and the home is perfect. Feels like home away from home. Very well equipped kitchen was great for family meals. Dogs enjoyed the fenced yard and the family enjoyed the spacious living area. We were all very pleased. Only about 25 to 30 minute drive to Camp Geiger.

My wife, 3 kids, mother, and two dogs stayed over Thanksgiving. Great house with lots of unusual but welcome amenities. Like good water, which was a very nice benefit and not something any other beach rental house I have visited has ever provided. The doggie door leading to the gated porch with access to the back yard was perfect. The kitchen was nicely appointed for serving a large Thanksgiving dinner. Overall, a great stay.
