Uniquely Renovated private 4 Bedroom 3 bath lodge snuggled in a meadow of the South Dakota Black Hills! It's a beautiful scenic 25 minute drive up Vanocker Canyon Road from Sturgis. Centrally located to all the things to do in the Black Hills. Fully equipped kitchen and dining area. Main living room and a recreation area in the basement. Includes washer, dryer, garage space and gas grill. Large deck that over looks the Meadow. We border the National forest, trails start at end of driveway. The ATV trails open May 15th and close December 15th.

For those of you going to the Sturgis Bike Rally in August, our lodge is a mile down a gravel forest service road. You do have use of the garage to park bikes in. **We ask that if you are going to the rally, you book a minimum of 6 nights.**

If you are looking to book during fall, winter, or spring, I need you to know that we are on a forest service road. This road is not plowed by the county. So, if you decide to stay during those seasons, you are running the risk of a snowstorm sneaking up and snow in the lodge. We do have someone to plow, but it takes time and availability. The last few winters, there hasn't been much snow. It is more up near Lead and Deadwood. I just want you to be aware that if there is, you may not get in right away or get out right away. We have only had to do it a couple of times. Once, when my husband was out there, it snowed 18 inches in October. The weather can be unpredictable. I have the cancelation policy set to flexible from the beginning of October to the end of April.

When we walked in, we loved how clean it was!!! Was very nice, rustic, perfect for what we were doing, side by side driving around the Hills.

We had a great time while we were in the Blackhills. Our grandkids had a ball 4-wheeling. This property is so close to so many trails. It was perfect. We will definitely go back to this property next year. We loved it.

The location of the property is perfect. It is quiet and relaxing yet not really a far drive to other places. Close to trails for sxs. Enjoyed sitting on the deck overlooking the meadow and watching the deer. The lodge is as advertised and has everything you need. The family had a great time and the grandkids enjoyed the sandbox and large yard to run around. I would highly recommend Rusty Meadow Lodge

The property is awesome for all ages including the group of 16 of my family that stayed over July 4th. The site is just off the main roads enough to allow for enjoying the serenity of the hills but close enough to area attractions and towns for those in our group that adventured out to do tourist type things. The bunkhouse for the 8 grandkids was AWESOME!! Giving them time away from adults for plating cards, games or watching tv. The cabin came stocked with plenty of towels, bedding etc as well as being stocked with all kitchen items we needed! I would highly recommend this cabin for families or groups as a hidden oasis!

Just finished our stay at the house and all I can say is that it’s definitely one to stay at. The location is just a little ways off the road and provides a very quiet atmosphere. Sitting on the deck in the evening and watching the deer out in the field with a fire going is very relaxing. A very large elk walked across the field in the late afternoon and made for some great photos. Fire pit is perfect! Everything was! The communication with Jessica was very good. We enjoyed everything and are planning to return next year.
