Rustico at south shore of Lake Garda

Lovely accommodation with great views of lake Garda. Accessible to many places to visit with a car. Superb swimming pool.

The house had a great layout with air con on the top floor which helped the kids sleep. The views to the lake were stunning. The hosts were very welcoming although we hadnt realised we would be sharing the garden and pool when booking. A great location for exploring this area of Italy.

Nice house and location.

We spent 3 weeks at this house. First, the location is fantastic, overlooking Garda and the bay (excellent sunsets). The house was well equipped and easily accommodated 3 adults and 2 children. It stayed cool in the heat and had excellent cross-breeze at night. Hans is very friendly and responsive with any issues and gave great tips about local highlights. All in all an idyllic house and location. We’d go back in a hot second. Strongly recommend.

We stayed with our 3 children aged 7, 5, and 3 in this house for 2 weeks, and had a great time. The house was comfortable, the bedrooms spacious, the kitchen was well equiped, the living room cosy. There is a dishwasher, washing machine and a dryer, which was very convenient. The 4th bedroom (with toilet) is built in an extension to the house, which is perfect for exemple grandparents who like their grandchildren, but not so much their early morning noises... The garden is beautiful, overlooking the Garda Lake. The kids played a lot around the house, in the olive trees, in and around the swimming pool, even though it was a little bit cold for swimming (April). The house is a 5-10 minute drive to Garda, which is close enough to visit the lake, and far enough to be away from the touristy crowd! There are a lot of hiking and mountainbiking tracks nearby. By car you can easily drive to the mountains, or the touristy attractions around the lake. The supermarket in Costermano is at 5 min driving distance. We met the very friendly owners of the house, since they were staying in their other house next to our house. Both houses are for rent. The houses share the terras, garden and swimming pool. If you want to go on a vacation with an other family, renting both houses would be an ideal option!

The house really is in a superb location - down a quiet back lane, perched mid way up a hill over looking the lake. It is quiet enough to feel away from it all, but Garda is just down the road and within 10 or so minutes in the other direction you are on the Autostrada. It is a tremendous base for exploring both Lake Garda and Northern Italy (we had days out in Venice, Verona and Mantua). The house is large and, compared to others we considered in the region, extremely good value. However, I feel the other 5 star reviews are a little misleading as this is not a 5 star property, based on my past experience of renting properties from this and other websites. It's the little details which prevent it being a 5 star - the tap on the top floor sprays water on the floor, you have to bring your own bed linen and towels (a pain if you are flying, and certainly not 5 star), the TV is very small and the oven goes out too often (twice during one 20 minute period). If I could give it three and half stars, I would. To be clear, my complaint is not with the owners as they offer this house at a very, very fair price, but rather with other reviews as I personally expect a bit more for 5 stars.
