Rustic isolation near Capitol Reef National Park

We loved this property! It was cozy, clean, and perfect for our family (our 9, 7, and 2 year old kids loved it.) It felt like home: clean and welcoming, but well worn (in the best ways.) We were just a few minutes from Capitol Reef, which was beautiful. And the restaurants in Torrey were great. While we were at the house we played ping pong, watched movies, laid out on the patio to watch the stars, cooked, grilled, and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Sean was helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Wonderful secluded place near so much natural beauty; the perfect place to get away from it all. Everything you could possibly need provided, even more than I expected.

Great location to explore Capitol Reef from. We didn't hang out in the house that much but it was cozy when we did. Plenty of space for a family of five. We weren't able to get the lower shower to work, but with two other showers it wasn't a problem. And did run through the hot water one day after returning from hiking with 5 showers right in a row. Minor issues overall and we had a great stay.

We loved our stay at this property. The house is older, but comfortable and clean. It was a great set up for families. The kitchen had been renovated and was modern and well stocked if everything we could have needed. The game room in the basement was perfect for kids and for a family movie night. There was ample space to run around outside. Close proximity to Capitol Reef National Park made the location ideal.

We had a fantastic time at this house which had all the comforts of home while being perfectly located for convenience to all of our adventures!

Great home for our family's Christmas get together! All the pots, pans, and mixing bowls we needed for our Christmas dinner was there. Kitchen was well equipped and newer. There were several sitting areas so we could spread out and not all be confined to one room. The ping pong table was a lot of fun! It was remote enough to be peaceful & quiet but also close enough to Capitol Reef National Park and several gas stations. We saw so many stars and the Milky Way! Would recommend! Host was very responsive and gave clear directions to get to the house.

Great property for a group of friends or a family. Kitchen is very well appointed and we really appreciated the supply of spices, coffee, utensils, and dinnerware, etc, to make meal preparation easy. Beautiful views from the house and of course, there’s nothing like staying in the red rock canyon country of southern Utah. There’s countless great hikes and mountain biking nearby plus Capital Reef NP only 10 minutes away. The hosts were very responsive and made for an easy comfortable stay.

Keybox is tricky - when I arrived for check-in it was hanging open.

Amazing place. This was our second time staying here and we loved it just as much. The host could not be nicer, have better communication and flexibility. They were very accommodating when I messed up on the reservation. The area has so much to offer! We will definitely make this an annual thing if we can!!

Old retired guys out on an adventure to see the many sights in the area. The house was great, had a bit of trouble getting into the key lock, but the owner answered the call, and we got in easily. Had everything we needed, very comfortable. Loved that there were no neighbors close by.

Such a wonderful property. It's just like it sounds... you have no neightbors and a wonderful seclusion. The property has magnficent views on all sides. The night skies are incredible! The host was so great about the couple inquiries I made. Perfect place for a family trip for a trip into Captial Reef and ATV riding.

This property is just what we were looking for. It is centrally located to some beautiful hikes and drives, it had an amazing retro decor (with cassette tapes), and was well stocked. They had food bowls for the furry friends and a great yard for exploring and walking the dogs. Thank you so much for letting us stay here, I am sure we will be back again!

Excellent location. This was a comfortable, family-friendly home. It had everything we needed plus more. It was much more than a typical vacation rental.

Well equipped, peaceful quiet location perfect for exploring Capitol Reef and all the surrounding beauty!

Absolutely gorgeous location, stunning views in every direction, feels like you’re miles from anyone else. We came for stargazing and the night sky was incredible. We loved the huge deck and comfy patio furniture - we sat outside for hours. We did a couple short scenic drives but mostly we didn’t want to leave! Everything was so comfortable … kitchen was clean and roomy with new appliances, Wi-Fi was as good as home (we had to do a bit of work during our stay), nice clean bathrooms, hot showers, plenty of blankets and towels, one of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in. Torrey was so fun as well, we loved Etta Place Cider, and Hunt and Gather restaurant was phenomenal. We got coffee from Shooke and Dark Sky and both were great. From feeling like you’re living in total isolation, to gourmet food 5 minutes away 😋 Hope to be back soon!

We loved staying here. It was nice to be away from everyone and enjoy the peace that this property offered.

This was the perfect property us to attend a large family reunion in nearby Lyman, UT. We had three elderly couples and a couple of adult children get together. The house is not fancy, but it had everything we needed. The best part is how isolated it sits from neighbors. We loved sitting out on the deck in the evening until it was really dark. The night sky was amazing without any light pollution. We were able to Capital Reef National Park, Boulder Mountain and other local hiking locations. Sean was a great host. Perfect place to use as a base camp to explore some of the most stunning natural beauty in Utah.
