This retreat is located on a family owned ranch in Canyon Creek just six miles west of Glenwood Springs and a short drive to Aspen and Vail. A working ranch since World War II, you will experience grazing cattle and horses as well as mountain wildlife such as turkey, deer, elk and bears. The house offers quiet, private serenity for families or couples alike.

This home is located in open range pasture, so be prepared for close encounters with cows and horses! No pets are allowed for sake of the solitude of the livestock and wildlife. No hunting!

***A high clearance vehicle (at least 7 of ground clearance) is needed year round to access this home! During the winter months, a four wheel drive vehicle with snow tires, all terrain tires or chains is a must! You will not make it up the driveway without 4x4 and good tire tread or chains! A reasonable amount of experience / ability to drive in the snow is also required. Refunds will not be given if you choose to ignore this, and you must coordinate your own tow if you get stuck.***

The master bedroom, privately located on the lower level, is nicely furnished with a king bed, sitting area and television and has an en suite full bathroom.

Upstairs you will find a second bedroom with a queen bed, crib and sitting area, a third bedroom with a queen bed, and another full bathroom. The living room includes a sleeper sofa for a seventh and eighth guest.

This property was an absolute gem! So much room and unique decor; true ranch feel including cows to greet you when you arrive at the property. My family and I loved it!! The beds were so comfortable which definitely came in handy since I had altitude sickness most of the trip. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Must see!!

The cows were in the pasture and on the road when we arrived. The house was very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare healthy meals. The TV is a smart TV, so you will need a subscription to a service (i.e. Amazon Prime, NetFlix, Fubo, etc.) to watch a show. We had a question about the TV, and the host was quick to reply. Very nice property and a joy to see cows and turkeys wondering around.

The house was clean and had adequate supplies. The main area of the house is accessible only by climbing a steep set of stairs. This would not be suitable for everyone. Heavy suitcases and loads of groceries were a challenge to manage up and down. The road getting to the house was also a steep climb and I would not want anything less than at least a small SUV on that road. The deck was lovely! Our stay involved 7 adults attending a family wedding and more mirrors would have been helpful.

Property was amazing. Nice, clean and quiet. Check in and out was very simple and hosts were very easy to get a hold of if you needed anything. We had to cut our stay short by a day due to a kids event and hits were understanding of it. Would recommend this place to anyone and would book again when out in Glenwood Springs area.

Tina was a wonderful host & very responsive to our messages. The location was great, we like to be away from the hustle & bustle of Main Street. Kids loved seeing the cows and turkeys every morning.

We were so happy to find this property. The description & photos were spot on. It was clean, the kitchen stocked with basics, and the deck was a perfect spot to enjoy coffee, dinner, and the views. The cows were a highlight! It’s a quick drive to the center of Glenwood Springs & we all loved coming back to the quiet after busy days exploring the town & hot springs. Will stay here again!

Beautiful property! Nice views and place to stay. Quiet. My family had a great week here! Clean, well stocked kitchen, bathrooms and everything else. Plenty of bedding and blankets. Loved the kitchen and we cooked/prepared most of our meals for the week there. Nice, big TV. Beautiful balcony to relax on. Check in process was very easy. Tina was excellent to communicate with and fast response time. 100% recommend staying here!

We stayed in the property with my husband's daughter, son-in-law and my son and his friend. The bedroom arrangement was perfect - we all had individual spaces (one bedroom full bath on the lower level) and an awesome/spacious main room to come together. The view from the deck was stunning. It is very conveniently located to Glenwood Springs, which is also very cute.

This property is a great find. Secluded and in the trees. There were lots of cows and also a big herd of turkeys. Wonderful views and a great place to stay. The kitchen was very well stocked. The instructions about the ability of the vehicle to access the drive is absolutely no joke! I would offer, at least during the winter, That you do not consider this property unless you have 4 low. Capability. With snow it would be unlikely you could manage the approach with an all-wheel-drive vehicle. There is a salon in Newcastle called salon West. They have a Massage Therapist there named Emma and she’s fantastic! We would recommend this property to anyone considering the area.

We enjoyed our stay at this location. The deck was awesome, and we were fortunate to have beautiful weather that allowed everyone to eat dinner on the deck every evening. The cabin was clean, comfortable and had everything needed to make our stay enjoyable. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a cool place to stay. The local cows are friendly and curious without being a pest. We will use this rental again if our travels take us to the area.

This place was very accommodating and had pretty much anything you could need. Food staples and toiletries were pretty much all there for us. The house is very spacious and cozy at the same time. I gave one less star for location only because of how far it was from the pool. Otherwise the location is awesome and the cows are very cute! Would book here again!!

My family of five adults stayed five nights at the ranch house and did NOT want to leave! The location is just west of Glenwood Springs about 5-6 minutes. The home has everything you might need and more. Beds are comfortable, showers are great, kitchen is well-appointed and the living and dining room are in one great room with ample seating. One of my favorite aspects is the amount of seating scattered through out the home. Sofas and lounge chairs in bedrooms and the downstairs hallway give lots of options for quiet spaces. With five adults sharing the space this gave everyone a place to “be” without feeling we were in each other’s way. My favorite part of the home though was the beautiful deck space where we ate leisurely breakfasts and drank coffee each morning in the sunshine overlooking the ranch and the mountains. The host was very accommodating with questions and we wanted for nothing during our stay. I will definitely stay here again if the dates are available. I imagine this place stays booked! P.S. the stars at night were incredible!
