Rustic Cottage w/ dock access, kayaks, and year-round adventures in East Jordan

Blue chair and gold chair in living room should be thrown away. They were terrible. Futon was bad too. Kitchen well equipped and place was rustic but clean. Small but nice bathroom. Beds were good but one of the bedroom shades was bad. Needs new carpet. Great view and nice neighborhood Good yard for dog Electric was interesting???

Ill start with the pros- great location! So close to Petoskey, Charlevoix, boyne city, torch lake and so many great places to visit, shop and beach! The lake across the street was such a peaceful view, and the garage roof being flat made laying and watchingthe meteor showers so nice. The house was very big and offered space for our group of 8 We chose this house due to 2 bathrooms.We chose to extend our stay at the house due to all the positive aspects prior to our bigger negative experiencesImmediately on arrival a grounds nest was located at the door and a guest was stung. Thebeach front across the street was good enough for while we were home and wanted a swim or paddle but there was a good bit of weeds and it wasnt really a relax zone for us. The grill propane was empty and we had to pay for th exchange- we were told we will be refunded. We found cockroaches on Saturday night (hours after extending our stay!) We caught 2 for verification, lost one. We then proceeded to find a few more as the days went on. The communication/assistance was not acceptable in the matter of cockroaches. We were given a partial refund of our booking. Meanwhile- cockroaches came home with us and the work being done to ensure we wont have cockroaches at home has been brutal. We also experienced a roof leak in the bathroom during our stay- i am talking dripping from the ceiling during heavy rain and saturated in the morning making me feel concerned about rotting and mold in the house.
