This home was perfect for our family of 5 and small dog. The house was cozy and spacious. It was very clean and well decorated. The kitchen included all the essentials. You are less than 15 minutes from all of Asheville has to offer and just short commutes to great hiking trails.
A great place to stay and visit Asheville!
My husband and I and our dog stayed in Franco and Michele's rental in Asheville October 2-6, 2023 and it was a fantastic experience. It was easy to communicate with them prior to arriving and they responded quickly to any questions. If we could give a 10 star review of this property, we would! From start to finish, everything about this rental exceeded our expectations. The attention to detail made our experience wonderful. Upon entering the house (super easy to get in), we were blown away by its cleanliness and nice decor. It was evident that the hosts put a great deal of effort into building, organizing, and maintaining this place. It felt as though we were the first guests to ever set foot in the house. The hot tub (fabulous and clean!), the BEAUTIFUL master bath and shower, the organized and clean kitchen, the fast wi-fi, brand new WASHER and DRYER, the grill, to the towels and toiletries available, we felt like every detail had been carefully considered. They go above and beyond and have truly set this VRBO apart from other rentals. We loved the location. The house is very private and at the same time it is in a VERY nice, woodsy neighborhood with beautiful homes. Within 10 or 15 minutes we could arrive anywhere we needed to in Asheville,GREAT restaurants nearby,10 minutes to an entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway, etc. Thank you Franco and Michele for a beautiful experience! It is the nicest vacation rental we have ever stayed in.
Had a great time at this rental. Clean, well decorated and great communication with the host. Hot tub was great! I did use 4 wheel drive to get up the driveway as it’s gravel and pretty steep, with momentum you can make it up in 2 wheel drive but I didn’t want to erode the drive way more then I needed to. I liked it, felt of added to the Mtn feel.
We were happy to find a place that was conveniently located in the Asheville area. The hosts were very responsive and made us feel welcome. The home itself has a great layout and is pleasantly decorated, and we appreciated having separate bedrooms for our two teenagers. The home was outfitted with whatever we needed--washer, dryer, kitchen things, big sink to clean out our cooler, etc. We enjoyed the mountain air on the deck, roasted hot dogs and marshmellows around the fire pit, and relaxed in the hot tub. The only challenge we had was with the driveway, which we managed in our AWD vehicle, but it took some gumption to ascend and some care to descend. I'd be nervous about trying it after a big rain. We DID make it up and down, though, so if you are thinking about making a reservation here, I wouldn't let that be a dealbreaker. This is a great place, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
Our stay was great!! very friendly and accommodating host, I will say I would HIGHLY recommend 4wd for the driveway. taking it fast is not good advice. I drive a 4wd 4runner and drive offroad frequently, would not advise taking driveway in ANY 2wd car, tried in a Jeep and fishtailed the entire way up, we used 4wd the entire weekend for driveway. Other than that the stay was great! Very secluded location and never had any issues with neighbors or local roaming dogs. Left some extra firewood for our next guest!! 10/10 would recommend for someone looking to unplug for a weekend.
