This little rustic cabin is nestled up on a hill with beautiful views of Pickwick Lake. It has 1 bedroom with a queen size bed & a twin size bed. The family room has a trundle bed(sleeps 2) and a sofa with 2 recliners in it. There is a TV with satellite for your enjoyment while inside. Also it has a full kitchen with a full size refrigerator/freezer, full size stove/oven, coffee maker, dishes & outside charcoal grill available for your use. The large porch is perfect for watching thebeautiful sunsets here! If you plan on boating there's a public boat ramp at Colbert County Rose Trail Park located less than 1 mile away. Also, boats can be rented at Eastport Marina located directly across the water. This is the perfect getaway for single family, fishermen or hunters. The drive up to the cabin is somewhat steep and gravel, however, we have never had any problems with cars getting to it.

We enjoyed our stay here in this cute lil cabin. It was very quiet & relaxing. We had issues with the TV/Dish not working, we had only Netflix to watch all week. Other than that it was great! The only other thing I would suggest is 'Memory Foam' for the main bed.

Bathroom was very small. Large person would not be able to access shower was only large enough to turn around in. No door to separate bedroom from rest of the house. WiFi was not good, could not get oven to come on and ceiling fan in living area would not work. Minimum amount of silverware. Was enough for us two. Rugs were very dirty and large bed smelled of dogs and was very uncomfortable. It needed a lot of rethinking in my opinion.

The cabin was not clean. Lots of dog hair and bugs inside. The bathroom is very tight. Sheets had a stain on them which made them seem unclean.

I think this would be a better idea in warmer weather. Heat was sparse and cabin is drafty. After turning the oven on for extra heat we settled down. We woke to Japanese beetles on everything. The heat and light drew them. Just wasn’t what we were expecting. Left a day early.

Nice cozy little cabin, be nice if the bedroom had a door to separate the snorers from the non snorers.Couch very comfortable for sitting but not for an adult to sleep on,too narrow to sleep on your back.Really better suited for three adults or a couple sleeping in the queen bed and kids on the full bed,the couch, and the day bed in the living room.Having a queen air mattress would be nice, then 4 adults could sleep comfortably.Front porch roof leaks like a seive, wanted to sit on the porch while it was raining and enjoy the lake view but needed to wear a rain coat to do it.Overall I felt it was worth what it cost cost and would stay there again.Host was responsive, gave good directions and checkin was easy.

Great little cabin on the hill. Peaceful, nice view of lake, great ownership. The only issue was there is no grassy area for dog to walk, play and potty as everything is rock. But will be back, we loved it.

Great place Nice lighting at night VRBO directions are nonexistent and rely on Google which could have taken into some one else’s property or into the river. We were taken out of our way two times before we called the property manager who responded immediately and easily found after she told us it was 10 miles from the highway. Beware it is a very, very steep driveway but outstanding view of river once you are there It IS rustic and almost primitive 😉
