We very much enjoyed the property, it was very convenient to get to the river.

The property needs some work/repairs. Pretty sure the electrical in the house isn’t up to code. The back porch and stairs have nail heads sticking up which causes accidents. The stairs to the river were covered in mud, from flooding I assume and there was no floating dock as noted on the wall when going out back doors. Lights in upstairs bathroom with shower have a delay before coming on. All door knobs are a bit loose. Microwave turntable doesn’t work. Ovens are very outdated and do not cook thoroughly. Raccoons are a nuisance. House isn’t terrible but definitely a little over priced.

The A/c went out in one room/froze up.

Great house needs some remodeling but overall spacious and right on the river. All the neighbors were nice and respectful. Had a great time on the river to cool off from the 110-degree temperatures that weekend. Kids had a blast.

The stairs down to the river are a bit slippery and the floating dock is very unsteady, we almost fell multiple times. Other than that, the house was great!

Reviewer Comments: House was spacious and clean, but outdated, there were signs on appliances saying they didn't work, yard was overgrown, and patio furniture was dirty and limited for a house that accommodates so many people. We booked this house because we were attending a concert at Gruene Hall and VRBO listing stated 1.76 miles away, when we got address two days before our check in we mapped it and it was not, took 20+ minutes to get to Gruene Hall. We got the run around from VRBO, management said we could cancel and get a refund but by then no other houses were available in the location we wanted.

I should have listened to the bad reviews already posted. Dishwasher had years of crap and buildup. Dishes tasted soaping after running. We couldn't use it for our whole two week stay. Ceiling vents were hanging by a screw ready to fall down on guests sleeping in the beds. Windows seals broken and the beautiful view was unable to be seen. Upstairs bathroom had water spraying all over counter and couldn't be adjusted. Freezer wasn't working. Old small freezer with ice buildup provided in laundry room Padlock on gate wouldn't open. Took over 30 minutes for handyman to open it for us once we got to the house. House was dirty, bugs on floors, showers had hair. Garbage containers had to be wheeled all the way down the driveway to the street even though there were plenty provided. We will Never rent there again

The stay was great. Loved the space and the view and the location. Don’t forget to bring your own salt and pepper and dish soap
