It seemed to be. We received email threats telling us how much the fines would be if we left any dirty dishes or didn’t take out the trash or checked in too early or checked out too late. All the coffee mugs had visible dirt or food on them inside and out. The water glasses had food spots on them. The lamps in one bedroom didn’t work, though they worked when plugged into an outlet in the kitchen. It was ok, but worrying about all the possible ways we might have to pay a $20, or $25, or $30 fine made it too stressful for me to ever go back. Plus, I washed more dishes there than they did.

Stayed here for a week over Christmas/New Years while visiting family, and it was the perfect quiet retreat! The decor was fun, the house was clean, the furniture was cozy, and the neighborhood was quiet. The beds were soft and comfortable, too. I would definitely stay here again.

Great place

Great place to stay. So much better than a hotel, and much cheaper. We will be staying there again.

Everything was clean and in good shape.

The home overall was pleasant with a few problems that ultimately kept it from being perfect.These problems include the following:1) Many items in the kitchen were dirty upon arrival.2) The wifi was borderline unusable in the living room. This wouldn't have been a problem if it weren't for the fact that there was nowhere to setup my computer anywhere else in the house. I would heavily recommend adding a small desk in the master bedroom or adding a wifi mesh extender in the hallway by the laundry facilities.3) This is less so a complaint and more so a note, the kitchen was very well stocked, but it was seemingly missing simple things. For example, there wasn't a colander or anything else to easily drain water from a pot. I noticed this one specifically, but I suspect there may have been others.For things that I enjoyed:1) The bed was very comfortable. I slept well the entire week I was here.2) Per my point 3 above, the kitchen was very well stocked. I was able prepare meals easily the entire week.3) The house overall had a very relaxing atmosphere.

The property was clean and well stocked. The property manager was easy to work with, and we had a very nice and relaxing experience in this rental. The only unknown was the location's exterior, which is in a small neighborhood/circle, but the neighbors were quiet and kept to themselves, and while there was not much outdoor space, there was a lovely flowering tree and small green side yard to enjoy. Excellent stay!

Nice quiet neighborhood. The area was clean and tidy. The host was communicative. Not much else you could ask for. I will stay here again if my travels bring me to the area again.

My 2nd stay here. We stayed here exactly 2 yrs ago. I probably wouldn’t choose this property again. It’s very clean but needs some updating. Living room furniture is very low and soft. Hard to get up. Only two hardback chairs other than couch. Evenings were not comfortable watching TV. And we did have a slow draining or stopped bathroom sink the very first day that I did report. Everything was very neat and clean.

We come to Pekin frequently to visit family, so this was my fifth time staying at this property. The house is always clean, and is incredibly consistent. This is a nice, quiet neighborhood and I will gladly book the property again if I am staying in the area.

As described; better than the pictures. Very clean and comfortable. Loved the coffee bar. Very quiet. Conveniently located. Will reserve again when return to Pekin.

We have spent three nights at the house and really enjoy the stay. The house sits in quiet neighborhood with short walking distance to the park with nice pound. House has well chosen HP decor, not overwhelming but enough to feel the vibe which we really enjoyed. It has everything you need to stay with nice specious kitchen open to the living room. The host takes really good care to make you feel comfortable. It is a short drive to Peoria where we were watching our daughter in track and field events. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you

I was on a business trip and needed a place to stay that was more comfortable than a hotel and this was it. Lots of streaming channels, keurig coffees, tea, and a kitchen with anything you would need to cook food. The host, Matt, was very responsive to any questions and instructions about how to get in were really clear!

This place was very clean and cute with the Harry Potter theme! The host is very communicative and this was a very easy check in and check out process!

Cute little place, it was perfect for my husband, two kids and me. The house was clean and the neighborhood is quiet.

We had a great stay - house is on a very quiet street - central to everything. It was well stocked, very clean and had everything we needed. Would definitely book it again.

This was the perfect little Bungalow for our visit. We were able to have a couple of guests with perfect room. Decor was perfect.

I only stayed for one night and the property was very cute and quiet. If you're into Harry Potter there were lots of little details to enjoy. I would have liked if the place was a little cleaner but since I was only there for one night it didn't impact me much. To be fair, I didn't have the chance to address this with the owner given I arrived late in the evening and left early the next morning. It was a nice and well equipped apartment if you were staying for longer.
