Stayed Jul 31, 2025The place was very cute, spacious, and quiet for anyone who wants a nice getaway and stay minutes from downtown New Braunsfels. I would not walk since it is off of a main road. The host was very responsive and friendly. Everything was lovely except that the thermostat was locked at 70 degrees and could not be lowered. It got hot with the bed being upstairs. Even with the vent there the temperature was not 70 degrees so it made for some uncomfortable nights but not terrible.

Stayed Jun 23, 2025We had a lovely stay. Went at the first of the week and had the pool to ourselves. It was quiet and relaxing. On our last night there was a herd of young deer grazing not far from us. Highly recommend!

Stayed Nov 8, 2024Place was just as described….this is a very unique and private space….literally looks like they took a silo and converted into a room. The inside was phenomenal. A small kitchenette has a microwave, sink, silverware, and cups. I didn’t see any plates…but this is definitely enough to warm up food and drink for a quick bite…if needed. The bathroom is huge…has two sinks and a large, stone shower with great water pressure….the shower feels luxurious! There was plenty of towels, soap, and shampoo. The living room is small, but has a sofa and two club chairs, along with a TV. Enough to relax a bit. The bedroom is an open loft space upstairs. It looks over the living room…but still feels private. The bed was comfortable and the space felt large, being a loft. The skylight was a nice surprise. I will give a bit of a warning….the stairs leading to the loft feel just a bit precarious….I’m fit and not elderly…and I felt like I had to be careful, especially going down. Elderly and physically limited folks might have some challenges with the stairs. The location is great….about a mile from everything in the historic district of Gruene, even closer to other restaurants and shops. I walked everywhere. Overall this is a great space for one or a couple….do it!
