Riverwood Cottage -- Riverfront with Hot Tub, River Access

Wonderful spot to welcome in the New Year! Host was accessible and responsive!

Beautiful property along the Russian river, with lovely views. Comfortable and well appointed, especially the kitchen. Has everything you could possibly need to prepare a meal.

It was so beautiful! The weather was hot all around us but the trees provided so much shade and we walked down onto the River and floated around with the ducks. It was heaven! Beds very comfortable. Close to town. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved this place! Perfect little getaway!

First off, Sangeeta was the most accommodating, down to earth and helpful owner I’ve ever dealt with. Quick responses with so many questions and upon talking with her on the phone it made me feel even more connected to her special property!I had sent my chiropractor and family on a well deserved trip to Riverwood Cottage. They have a 5 year old boy and a 1 year old baby. Dad said there was so much to see and do for the boy. They met the house cleaners when they arrived and said they were super nice. The hot tub, gas fire pit and the little beach were a big hit. The boy was able to get to enjoy the river on one side where he could walk in. The home was clean and so quaint and comfortable for the 4 of them. They and I highly recommend Sangeeta’s lovely, relaxing, and fun home and are so thankful I found her place for them! Thank you Sangeeta for a very wonderful experience, and for others too, by sharing with all of us! Hoping they can find the time in their busy schedules to return again!!

Unfortunately we experienced the heaviest rainfall Sonoma County has seen in 122 years. Due to road conditions & flooding we reluctantly decided safety first and did not make the trip. We were extremely disappointed as it was our 50th wedding anniversary. We are hoping to rebook.

We always enjoy our stay at Riverwood!. The cottage has everything you need for a fun and comfortable getaway and the setting is truly beautiful.

The location was great. The river was wonderful. The house was cute and accomodating, seats and bed are not comfortable, but maybe that's only for (middle) aged people.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The owner was the most responsive person I’ve ever dealt with at a rental. She checked in to make sure we had everything we needed and responded to our inquiries immediately. The house is clean and has everything you need. The bed is also very comfortable. Our favorite part however was the outdoor area. There’s a great deck with beautiful views that is completely enclosed which was very convenient since we brought our dogs. The backyard is amazing! There are mature trees throughout and lots of great places to sit and relax and enjoy the views. There is also a fire pit and the owner left us a s’mores kit that we made on our first night. On the left hand side of the yard is a bridge surrounded by beautiful landscape that leads to a pathway you can take to walk down to a really nice private beach right on the river. We set up chairs at the water’s edge and loved watching all of the birds including a Great Blue Heron feeding and all of the ducks with their babies. We will definitely be back and hope to stay longer next time!

First, let me admit that I'm in the hospitality industry. In my travels, I'm always 'sizing things up'! This property is a sanctuary - a cottage set amidst massive redwoods and open, sun-drenched lawn on the river's edge. The cottage is immaculate, highly efficient yet comfortable. Everything necessary to a wonderful stay is provided. And Sangeeta is the best! She's always in touch, clear & concise with her messaging, and with warmth that has made me feel like I'm staying in the home of a friend. I just departed and will soon be booking my return. Where to begin….from the first time I reached out to Sangeeta all the way through the booking process and the end of our stay, she was helpful, kind and gave us all the information we needed to know. The cottage is clean, very well-stocked and even though it’s small it would be perfect for entertaining as the vast yard and deck allow for all the space that anyone needs to see, breathe and feel the peace that this property provides. We brought our paddle boards and walked them down to the river access. I understand that it may not be the most ideal put-in, as it was a bit muddy…but you’re about get into the water, so not a big deal. The river was fairly low at this time, which was fine, but the view from the house was just only a tiny less than it could’ve been. We didn’t use the hot tub, but how cool is that??? Sitting in a hot tub, watching the stars, smelling the redwoods??? Our only warning is, depending on the time of year probably, but bring some kind of mosquito spray and candles. We got eaten, badly, within minutes of going outside to make s’mores. And we should’ve know better. Overall, it was the perfect relaxing getaway to celebrate my birthday and spend quality time with my Mr. Wonderful. Thank you SO much Sangeeta!!! I love how everything was labeled and all the info in the binder was so helpful! This is a place where we’ll come back to.

We enjoyed the home very much. The kitchen was well stocked and all was easy to find. The home was clean and comfortable. The grounds were beautiful, and the hot tub was lovely! overall a very smooth process. We will happily be back in the future!
