Riverfront House, Dock, Hot Tub, Salt Pool, near beach, Free WiFi

This is a truly lovely home. The pool, the hot tub and being on the canal were the highlights. The pergola gave plenty of shade, even on the hottest days we were there. The house itself was exceptional - the furniture and mattresses were high quality where you sometimes find cheap, not well-made IKEA-like furniture in a rental, this home had actual furniture that was comfortable and inviting.There was plenty of everything you need in the kitchen for cooking (loved the double oven for cooking for a crowd), but the house was also near a lot of great restaurants (we really enjoyed Chick's Oyster Bar and Bubba's Seafood). We were close enough to Virginia Beach to easily head down that direction, but we also really enjoyed the beaches and trails at the First Landing State Park.We appreciated all the pool toys, floats and beach towels provided by the host. I think the only thing we were missing were a couple of beach lounge chairs by the pool! 100% recommend.

The house was perfect for us! It had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook. We needed two king beds & this house had three king beds. We had a problem with a tv in one of the bedrooms & the host had a new one installed before the end of the day - much appreciated! The weather was cool during our stay so we didn’t use the pool or hot tub, but we made use of the Weber grill. We enjoyed watching the boats go by! We would definitely recommend this house to anyone visiting this area.

House was as pictured! Perfect for our family’s long weekend for a wedding. Hosts were wonderful with communication and easy to work with! Every supply you could possibly imagine was there! Close to grocery stores, coffee shops, and everything. Would definitely stay again. Highly recommend!!!!! Thank you!!!

House was just as described, even better! Comfortable beds, amazing master shower, no shortage of both bath and beach towels. Tastefully decorated and plenty of space for larger groups. Loved the view and having the hot tub/pool as options. Host thought of everything you could need to make your stay stress free and enjoyable. Thank you very much for entrusting us with your home. :)

We spent little time there. It was nice. But we could not believe that no bath soap was provided in the showers , let alone shampoo for 600 a night! Motel 6 has soap. If we did not have family down the street it would have been disastrous. Negatively affected our stay and opinion. Also the electrical is not to code and is dangerous.

Everything about our stay was wonderful! This was our third time here, we will keep coming back every year.

This is a very comfortable home both inside and out, in a lovely neighborhood. It has a large kitchen, fully equipped with glassware, plates, cooking equipment. However, there were no condiments or staples to help prepare meals. I looked carefully at the listing which does state that only salt and pepper are provided but there was actually no salt. Travelers cannot be expected to bring those sorts of things with them, but perhaps others don't cook at home as often as we do. The house for the most part was perfectly clean, although the living room rugs had not been vacuumed (as other renters have noted). We enjoyed our time there with old friends but it would have been nice to have a few more amenities in the kitchen.

Loved our stay at this property. Clean and beautiful interior. The pool area was beautiful and my family loved every moment of our stay. The host was also kind and communicated well throughout the stay.

We had a great time here! Check in/out was completely seamless. The property is very well appointed, kudos for a kitchen full of equipment too! The pool is wonderful and we were in every day. So much to view from the backyard, great bird watching, boat watching and more. The location was great for us without the heavy traffic and congestion that is down at the main beach area. Owners are fantastic and easy to connect with. We loved it here and want to return!

We stayed for a week family of four. Check in was easy, kitchen has loads of pots, pans and cookware. Bed in primary is really comfortable. Gave 5 stars for all except cleanliness because kitchen has 2 trash cans both which were completely full when we arrived and bathroom sinks had hair in them and floors had several areas with debris. Outside is really great. Whole house has a nice setup. We would stay there again.

Awesome place for family reunion. Kids had quality time with pool and parents were able to relax. Highly recommended.

All in all it’s a nice place to stay!The pool really is main attraction of the property! House was clean, but not spotless, also a few issues with doors, kitchen faucet, ants, and pool cleaning, all though owners sent the pool guy back for a re clean, and the exterminator, for the ants!

Overall we had a great time at this property. The saltwater pool was beautiful and refreshing and the layout of the house worked well for us. There were some cleanliness issues and the house is a bit worn, but the hosts are very responsive and really wanted to make sure we had what we needed which we greatly appreciated.

Home was clean and spacious! The pool and hot tube were great! And the home supplying beach gear was definitely an added bonus! We didn’t need to contact the host, but they supplied easy and efficient ways to get ahold of them if need be!

This house is perfect for families and/or friends. We are a family of four and had another child the first part of the week then another adult/teen the second part of the week. It's very spacious with both private and central locations. The pool is a lot of fun. Numerous pool floats, toys, and beach towels are provided. They also have chairs and umbrellas to take to the beach. The outdoor space has several sitting areas including a large dining table and fire pit. Fantastic location if you bring a boat. Easy to tie up to the property and very convenient for boating to restaurants or out to fish. Communication with Susan was great. This was our second time here and we hope to come back.

House was spacious, clean and comfortable. Pool and hot tub were amazing and views of water were great. Owners were friendly and welcoming. Location was perfect for quiet beaches and parks or busy board walk of Virginia Beach.

This was by far the best VRBO I have ever stayed at and wonderful location. Very comfortable for three couples plenty of room. The house was very clean and had all the amenities! We loved sitting out on the deck and using the hot tub and pool! I would love to stay there again if we ever come back to the area! The owners are very responsive and

We were looking for a nice place to stay while going to the Norfolk Botanical Gardens. This was a nice comfortable home for our needs! The owners were easy to contact and meet all our needs in advance.

This was easily one of, if not the best VRBO house that we’ve stayed at. The owners are responsive and proactive, the location is 15 minutes or less from everything. The house is well stocked and well kept. If we go back to VA Beach this will be the first house that we look for!

We had a great time and enjoyed the property. The pool and hot tub were really nice after a day of golfing and can’t beat the location.

We recently stayed in this beautiful home for a week to celebrate my mom’s 80th birthday and spend time with family in the area. It was the perfect spot with plenty of activities for our young children as well as many places to sit and relax for the adults. We all enjoyed the hammock and outdoor seating, the hot tub on cooler nights, and even took a polar plunge in the pool thanks to the unusually warm weather! This house is well stocked with everything you could possible need. All of the beds were very comfortable, and we had plenty of room to spread out! The owners answered our questions and took care of any concerns immediately and could bot have been more welcoming and friendly! We will definitely be back for another stay! Thank you Susan and Dan!

My cousins and I spent a week at this lovely home. The house was exactly as described in listing. Clean, roomy and well stocked. Beds very comfortable. Beautiful view. Highly recommended.

Place was nice ,large,loved it quit neighborhood. Would recommend it.

Everything was great. We ended up having only 4 people to stay. We were unsure if hot tub was usable and so we did not use it. The additional ice maker was great. We love all that the owners have done to the interior. My absolute favorite was the shower!!!

We absolutely love Susan and Dan Beard’s riverfront property! This is our second year staying here for our annual family vacation and everything about this place is perfect for the whole group. There is so much space for everyone to hang out. The pool and hot tub and riverfront patio offer a great place to play and relax and grill out, and there really isn’t any reason to go anywhere else, except maybe a visit to the beach which is only a short drive away. We highly recommend you stay here, especially if traveling with a bigger group!

We did 4 full days of fishing. Keeping the boat tied up in the water was great and the location was perfect for boating.

This house is perfect! It’s in a quiet neighborhood. We took a boat and enjoyed fishing and docking at restaurants instead of driving. The kids loved the pool and hot tub. Nice living areas inside and out with multiple seating spaces. The kitchen is big and fully stocked. We enjoyed the outdoor grill and dining area. The beds are comfortable and the configurations work well. We plan to come back!!
