Stayed Apr 5, 2025The property was in a unique setting on the river with a train trestle. It felt like you were in the country and very private but only a couple of miles from downtown. We enjoyed the amenities and outdoor spaces, the weather was beautiful while we were there.

Stayed Feb 12, 2021Amazing location and view. Secluded and peaceful on the river. Great for a couple or any come back with a group for our annual reunion. My only feedback is that 1) with winter more details on the access is important. Note that it’s at the base of several long hills downhill before you even reach the driveway- make sure you have a car that’s ok on ice. A shovel and some ice melt is key. We asked in advance and said it wasn’t an issue but it definitely was tough getting in and there was a lot of ice. 2) wifi is advertised and I had plans to telework while we’re there but I couldn’t as it was metered and slow and allowed limited access and absolutely no streaming onsite. I recommend you bring dvds as this prevented us from watching downloaded content (couldn’t cast) or stream anything. Otherwise an amazing retreat and peaceful break, love watching the trains go by and heading the ricer. Hot tub is an amazing perk with the view and outdoor surround sound that connects to inside as well. Kitchen is amazingly outfitted to get your inner chef on.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Beautiful, private retreat on the James River. Excellent amenities to enjoy onsite AND close to downtown Lynchburg to explore local food, history, and attractions. Highlights include a spotless, nicely decorated space, tranquil setting, lovely outdoor area and view - everything you need to relax. The hot tub was a wonderful optional amenity, highly recommend! We enjoyed being in nature while enjoying modern amenities. Five star experience! We hope to return in the future.
