Stayed Feb 7, 2026The Madrone house was so cozy and peaceful! It had a big, open view of the North Umpqua River with steep river access right there. The area was quiet, and our host, Randy, provided us with great maps of hiking trails in the area. We wished we could have stayed longer - we’ll be back again!

Stayed Sep 21, 2025This place is amazing. The house itself was clean and comfortable. We were surprised at how well stocked the kitchen was. The views were outstanding and access to the river was fairly easy. The country store above the property was outstanding as well. Super nice people all the way around. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed Dec 23, 2023The house and the location was everything we had hoped for on a Christmas holiday. We hiked the North Umpqua Trail and many of the waterfall trails and our dogs had a wonderful time. We will be back.

Stayed May 26, 2023We loved the Madrone Home! The views were breathtaking and the sound of the river was absolutely soothing. A great place to relax and just be. We hiked to Toketee Falls one day and we saw spring Chinook salmon jumping up Deadline Falls. A fabulous long weekend for all four of us!

Stayed Mar 11, 2023Pleasant….Great view. Worst was lack of privacy in sleeping areas. Bonus was games, books etc.
