New Port Richey, Florida
This house is currently on the market, but we are renting it out until it is sold. We will be opening the calendar up in 30 day increments.
This house is located on the river that leads out into the Gulf of Mexico. It has been completely remodeled.
Everything in this house has been updated and remodeled. We've installed granite counter tops and luxury vinyl flooring throughout the kitchen, dining room, living room, and both guest bedrooms. The master bedroom is enormous, and has a private newly remodeled bathroom with a walk-in shower. The guest bathroom is updated and has a tub/shower combo. *Please note- There are NO grab bars in either bathroom. There is a separate laundry room with a washer and dryer. You also have use of a carport.
This house sits on a very large lot with an outdoor patio area, which is covered with a canopy. There are two sets of french doors that lead outside, (one is accessed through the dining room and the other doors are in the master bedroom). There is a wood deck and a ramp that leads to a floating dock. The James E. Grey preserve is is about 100 feet away. It's perfect for kayaking! Most of the neighbors own pontoon boats. If you have a boat and would like to go out to the Gulf of Mexico, there is a public boat ramp on Main street that you can use to put your boat in the water. The bridge on Grand Blvd. is low, so you will either need a boat with a bimini top that lowers down, or a pontoon boat to go under the bridge. Since the channel leads through a residential area... it takes about 35 minutes to reach the Gulf by boat.
We allow a maximum of 6 people to stay in this house.
We stayed at this house in April on a very last minute reservation and found it quite delightful. When we needed to return to New Port Richey, we all agreed to rent the same house again. The neighborhood is quiet, the house is clean and has everything you need for your stay. I imagine we will actually rent it again when the need arises. Thank you Heather.
We had time to have a breakfast for extended family because we were all there for a memorial! It was nice to just visit. Some family members enjoyed the outdoors as others enjoyed talking on the inside. Great place
This home was great for our family to spend the weekend. The home was stocked with all kinds of various items you may need. The kayaks were a BIG hit as was the dock. Wished we could have spent a whole week! The owner Heather was very responsive and friendly.
We absolutely loved staying at Heather’s property. From the beginning, communication was clear and responses were quick. The bedrooms had their own air con units which made it very comfortable for sleeping. The master bedroom even had a white noise machine so you could be lulled to sleep by the sounds of the ocean. The house was just as beautiful as the pictures with a fully stocked kitchen, laundry room, and relaxing patio. There were games, toiletries and plenty of towels and washcloths for use. The best part of our stay were the complimentary kayaks. The house has a little dock with a canal that leads to James A. Grey Preserve. It is absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. On our daily morning kayaking trips we saw various birds, turtles and fish. We even saw a raccoon taking a drink at the water’s edge. After we checked out, we drove to the parking lot at the preserve to take the boardwalk trail around the preserve. It is a special place. We saw so many tortoises snacking in the grass and loads of little lizards darting across our path. We can’t wait to come back with our kids. They would love this little gem.
This house was amazing! The house was immaculate and it provided every little thing needed for our stay! We loved the river out back and the waterfront view! The house was decorated so beautifully and the rooms were spacious and welcoming! We had the best time and enjoyed our stay! We will keep this in mind on our next trip to NPR!
The house was perfect for my family of five. The 3 kids each has their own bed, which was nice after staying in a hotel for a few nights in Orlando. The house is beautifully decorated and has that Florida feel. This is the most well stocked house I have ever rented. Plenty of towels, toiletries, toilet paper, trash bags, and dish soap. The owner was prompt to respond to questions. My oldest son loved fishing on the floating dock and caught 3 catfish. We made day trips to Weeki Wachee State Park to see the mermaids, to Clearwater Beach for a sunset dolphin cruise, and to Honeymoon Island to enjoy the beach. We had a great family vacation and would stay here again.
My second time staying at this property. Quiet, friendly neighborhood on the river. We are able to enjoy the area knowing there is a beautiful home waiting for us upon our return where we can enjoy the kayaks or just relax on the dock. Thank you for another great stay.
We stayed 10 days. House had everything we needed. Clean. Daughter worked from home , she was able to use patio as an ‘office’. Enjoyed the kayaks. Convenient location. Host responded quickly. Loved being on the water.
We only got to stay a couple of nights but it could not have been any better. Great communication and great accommodations.
We stayed over the summer, and the location & property was perfect for us! I've used VRBO at least 30 times, and even though I've stayed at great places, this is the 1st time that a property was so perfect that I came back for a 2nd stay! We were able to use the kayaks, even in December! Thanks for histing my family, and I have a feeling we'll be back a 3rd time!
My son, nephew and I recently stay at this home and absolutely love the property. The home was in fantastic condition and spotless. The location is close to downtown NPR which made it very convenient. This was my second stay in Heather's home and I'm sure will stay here again in the future. Thanks again Heather for your hospitality. Dan
fishing wasnt great
Absolutely loved the home
Works well for small groups, master bedroom is on one side of house, other 2 bedrooms the other for privacy and quiet. plenty of room. neighborhood is peaceful. Highly recomend
Heather was great to work with. She was very quick to respond and very understanding ! Due to unfortunate medical situation, we were unable to enjoy the property. I appreciate her kindness. 5 ?
We really enjoyed our time at the house, we wish we could have stayed longer. We were able to use the kayaks one of the days, but wished we had brought our watercraft. Thank you Heather
Spotlessly clean. Such an awesome property. The dock was so nice, and we loved kayaking. Definitely thinking about staying again when we come to visit family.
The house is beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable beds. Heather has little goodie baskets everywhere and has gone the extra mile to make sure you have everything you need. The outside is very relaxing. Our grandson enjoyed chasing lizards. We will be back for sure.
We had a good short stay. Thought everything was great until driving back home & got into a heated argument with owner regarding an old stain on a door rug. I was accused of puking on the rug & staining it. I explained over & over my family & I didn’t do it but Heather was adamant that we did. The stain was on it when we arrived. I didn’t take petty pics of stain but did think in back of mind I should have because somehow my gut knew I was going to be blamed for it! I never heard anymore about it, no charge & no apology. Near Perfect house otherwise for our stay. Just document anything out of ordinary. Only other complaint is trash service needs to be done after each stay or a bigger outdoor can. Guest before us trash was still in can when we left & it wasn’t much room for ours.
