DYK Johnny Cash and June Carter had a house on the Cotee River where they enjoyed fishing and boating to the Gulf waters. So did Shirley Temple and Babe Ruth! In the early 1920s, celebrities like Greta Garbo and Charlie Chaplin came to Florida for the great weather and glamorous parties in places like New Port Richey's very own Hacienda Hotel.
