River House on the River

Loved the fact that we were on the river bank - the sound of the rushing water was so soothing, and it was nice to sit around the campfire right at the water's edge! The house had all the amenities we needed, and it was clean and well maintained. Our only issue was that we ran out of propane for the grill on the very first night and did not have a replacement tank so we were not able to use the grill. My only other suggestion would be that there be a user's guide in the information booklet for the television. But thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come again!

This was a very convenient location for nearby ice fishing at blue Mesa Reservoir. The house is very clean, well stocked and comfortable. The location, with the river directly behind the house, is super nice!

Great place to stay,we enjoyed it.

Throughly enjoyed our stay. Easy access to Crested Butte & Blue Mesa Reservoir. Enjoyed how well stocked the kitchen was as we ate in most meals. The provided board games were a hit with our kids. They even put up a small Christmas tree as we were there around the holidays! Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful well provisioned property right on the river. Even caught a few brown trout right out the back door.

This property was absolutely perfect for our party of 4. Beautiful, right on the river! Slept with the windows open and could hear the river all night!! We enjoyed a warm campfire in the cool temps every night. Check in and out was a breeze! Beds were super comfy. Loved the location for our hiking and sightseeing adventures!! Highly recommended!!

House has all the amenities in spades. Easy access for fisherman going to Blue Mesa/Taylor or the Gunnison river out your back door.Sitting in the back yard around a campfire watching the hawks eat the fish right out of the river. Magical!Easily handle 2 couples in the lodge with a option of one extra on the couch/living room.Property manager instantly took all my simple questions via txt that I was confused on.Looking forward to next year!10/10

The cabin was perfect! The views were amazing. We enjoyed the entire week stay and would definitely stay again.

It was a great house to stay in. It was very cozy and clean. Location was amazing. River behind the house was such an awesome touch. My only complaints were we couldn’t get the tv to work, and they didn’t give enough towels to use for more than one night. No one wants to wash towels daily on vacation. We did buy some towels and just left them at property for the next guest hopefully.

The River House on the River is a nice, clean house

The property was as advertised and better. The most amazing river view. We had to leave early because I became ill and they refunded part of our money. We will definitely rent again!

We really enjoyed our stay at this special property. The location is unparalleled, right on the Gunnison river with tons of privacy. We enjoyed bonfires out by the river in the evening. And loved seeing the wild life everywhere foxes ducks deer you name it. This place is amazing I would really recommend it if you were thinking about staying in the area.

We stayed at this property the end of September and were able to see the beauty of the changing colors in the mountains. The River House was the perfect place as it gave us easy access to several passes that had amazing views. We came back after a day of exploring to the sound of a running water as we sat outside and enjoyed the mountain feed river that was in the back yard. It was a fabulous setting to read, relax and have a fire in the fire pit. I don't know when I've gone home this relaxed and refreshed. The only suggestion is a different door to the deck as it is only a storm door and the security is really lacking with this type of entrance. Otherwise, it had everything we needed.

We had a wonderful 4 days. My husband was able to fly fish in the beautiful river right behind the house. We enjoyed the water & trail near the area. Diffidently will be returning soon.

We have stayed twice at the River House and have loved it both times. Being right by the river is spectacular. Every night we had a bonfire. You can walk to the City Park and swim in the river and tube down the mini rapid. The host is very helpful and quick to respond. We will be back again!

Beautiful patio deck to enjoy overlooking the river. Great fishing within walking distance to the house. Secluded yet just a couple of miles from the town. Great location. Very comfortable and clean beds. Especially loved the comfortable living room with the large windows overlooking the river. Very nice. Would highly recommend staying here. We'll stay here again if our travels brings us back to Gunnison.
