Our family enjoyed a wonderful weekend at River Haven. The property is beautiful, right on the river. The bedrooms were very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. There were lots of games available for both indoors and outside!

This is lovely older home with an amazing deck and hot tub on the river. The beds were super comfortable and it had everything we needed for our stay. It was the perfect location for hiking, biking and kayaking. We hiked to Agnes Vaille falls and went to the St. Elmo ghost town. We mountain biked from downtown Buena Vista and hiked along the river. We kayaked twin lakes and spent a day in Leadville which has an amazing history and finally we hiked Huron Peak which is considered one of the most beautiful 14ers. We could not have picked a better location and to top it off there is a very nice indoor/outdoor restaurant on the river called “The Beach” within walking distance to the house.

We have stayed at River Haven annually for a couple of years. It never disappoints. The house is always well appointed and clean, but the real gem is the location and outdoor space. Proximity to MTB trails and town is very convenient all while having a large, private yard with the Arkansas River flowing in the backdrop. It truly is a special spot and we hope to come back for years to come.

This is a great place to unwind, relax and enjoy time either way friends! One of our favorite things to do is relax in the hot tub under the stars.

Host was excellent !! Answered message quickly and gave us early check in. Being by the river was glorious !!

We had a wonderful trip. The hot tub was large and good for the cooler weather. It’s in a great location with river access. There were lots of board games available to play. The kitchen was well stocked with all the things we needed.

We loved our stay at River Haven. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook all our meals. We found some great hiking trails in the area and enjoyed soaking it the hot tub at night after a day of hiking. The deck was quite big with comfy chairs to sit in and a nice Weber grill. I could spend all day sitting in the Adirondack chairs right by the river. We didn’t really notice any traffic noise. We did enjoy the sound of the river flowing and the birds. It was very peaceful and relaxing. Natalie was very kind and quick to respond to any questions we had. We look forward to staying here again.

The property is great and very well furnished. It was clean, spacious, everything was in working order and it had everything we needed. The check in/out process was clear and easy. The host was top notch. The hot tub, beautiful porch, yard and river access were so awesome! Couldn’t ask for more!!

We absolutely loved our stay at River Haven! The hot tub overlooking the river was hands down our favorite part — soaking while listening to the water flow by was the perfect way to end each day.The location is ideal: close to restaurants, trail systems, and everything Buena Vista has to offer, yet still quiet and peaceful. It truly feels like a private riverfront retreat.The house itself was nice, clean, and very comfortable — a great setup for relaxing after long days outside. We would highly recommend River Haven to anyone looking for the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. Natalie was a great host!

The property has beautiful views and I’d consider coming back in the summer to take advantage of the outdoor space. The property backing up to the river is lovely to look at and the large windows are what drew me to this place. The beds are comfortable and the living room was nice, but much smaller than it looked online. The lighting in there was dim, making it difficult to work on our jigsaw puzzle in the evening.

River Haven was magical! The house and property are beautiful and cozy! The views of the river and mountains were so peaceful. It was incredibly refreshing to sit in the hot tub and watch the river and stars. The kitchen was small, but complete with all the cookware, dinnerware, and seasoning we needed. We had such a special family Christmas at River Haven.

It was a gift to be so close to the river.

It's an incredible property, and accomodating and responsive hosts. We hope to return!!

Outstanding!

Great property for a getaway. Plenty of comfort, plenty of space, plenty of separation for sleeping or hanging out and such. Walking out 100 feet to stand next to the river is priceless, as is sitting on the porch and taking in the lawn, the fire pit, lawn chairs, and the river and mountains. Did I mention the spa on the deck and ten million stars at night?Kitchen has everything needed, including tools for serious coffee brewing. Everything needed is ten minutes away, but feels a hundred miles away. Great spot, helpful host! Five stars!

This was our third time staying at the property. The outdoor space is amazing and the hot tub was relaxing.

Amazing home with beautiful views of the Arkansas river from inside and the back porch. We enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the hummingbirds, and rafters float down the river. Plenty of space for our family and very tranquil!

Beautiful home right on the river, so peaceful, met all our needs during our 3-night stay in BV. Loved the wrap around deck, grill and hot tub. Natalie was probably the most responsive of ANY rental owners I've experienced. We had a temporary water issue and she responded quickly, going above and beyond to facilitate. Would definitely stay here again.

We wish we could’ve stayed longer. We enjoyed easy access to the river, the hot tub, ample cooking supplies, peaceful atmosphere.

Great house for a family! Many activities near by and the Arkansas river in the backyard allowed the boys to fish, will return.

What an amazing house in an amazing location. If you wanna relax, this is the place to do it. They have thought of everything. We will be back with friends and family.

We so enjoyed the river, views, fishing, hammocks and lawn at River Haven that, other than a few planned activities, we spent most of our time there. The deck and hot tub were great. We had nice summer weather and the A/C was good. The window fan was all we needed to cool the guest house. Enjoyed croquet, cornhole and other games provided. Also brought our own hummingbird feeders and drew in so many we hated taking them down. Maybe the owners will leave some for future guests... so easy to make nectar.

Great property to relax and hang by the river. Fishing and using the many provided yard games made this is a fun spot to base out of for BV adventures

The River Haven was an absolute dream stay. We as a family have never experienced staying at place so overflowing with beauty. This house on the river was an incredible stay and we will be returning next year.

River Haven was the perfect spot to stay while we explored the Buena Vista area. We had everything we needed and the river view was so beautiful and relaxing. We enjoyed the hot tub after our busy days. We would definitely stay here again!

The internet was extremely weak as was Verizon cell service. We were trying to coordinate with other family in town regarding wedding plans and it was difficult. There was no internet in the guest cabin.

Location was very convenient to plenty of daily activates. Start the morning fishing in the back yard with ample room to practice your fly casting and catch fish. 30 mins or less a variety of hiking trails or other fishing locations. Raft trips are next door or drive 15 mins up river and drop in at Buena Vista and float back to the house in 30 mins. Lots of outdoor room to just relax and watch the river and birds on the back deck. We will be back.

This was a perfect home for a birthday celebration with girlfriends. We enjoyed the spacious deck, hot tub and the lovely lawn with the firepit by the river.

Wonderful stay at River Haven! Clean, well stocked kitchen, nice amenities. Right on the Arkansas river. Listening to the birds while sitting in the deck was a delight. Watching the stars from the hot tub was beautiful. Peaceful, rejuvenating stay. Would recommend River Haven highly and will stay again!

This is an annual trip for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at River Haven. Late night relaxation in the hot tub, early morning lounging by the river, and lots of conversations and laughter is what we love the most. Can’t wait for the next trip!Suggestions: an indoor recycle trash can so we don’t have to walk outside every day and a plastic ice scoop.

The combination of the property, serene location, and soothing river makes it a perfect place to relax, rejuvenate, and reconnect.The house is thoughtfully equipped with everything you could need, from cozy touches to all the amenities that make it comfortable for guests of all ages. Whether we were enjoying peaceful mornings by the river or exploring the nearby areas, every moment felt special. The location was ideal—close to the mountain, town, and other breathtaking spots that made exploring effortless.The host was truly 5-star from start to finish, with exceptional communication and attention to detail that made our stay seamless and enjoyable.We will definitely be back and can’t wait to experience this little slice of paradise again!

We stayed for my birthday and it was perfect! The river was beautiful and it was everything we were hoping for in terms of lodging. Communication with the owners was great! Highly recommend!

Stayed over valentines day. Everything was perfect.

A group of nurses here planned a getaway to Mt Princeton hot springs, and to spend time together celebrating a couple birthdays. The house was super clean with lots of space and comfortable. Beautiful views right on the river. Highly recommend and will consider this place in the future.

We enjoyed staying here and would definitely stay again next time we are in Colorado. Home was really nice and clean.

Cute house right on the river. We loved the hot tub on the deck looking at the river. Also loved the high ceiling in the family/TV room with a big couch so we could all hang out together. Small kitchen but had everything we needed. A short 10 min drive to Buena Vista with restaurants and shops. We skied at monarch which was great - about 40 min drive. Stopped in Salida a couple times for dinner - cute little mountain town! Highlight of the trip was Mount Princeton hot springs, just 10 min away. This was a great location for us!

This was just right for our family of 6! We all had space and relaxed. So peaceful watching and listening to the river.We will be back but for longer next time!Thank you!

Wow - the views from this property are stunning. The river is so peaceful, we sat by the fire pit, swung in hammocks and enjoyed the sound of the rushing water from the warmth of the hot tub and looking up at the brilliant stars! Our family corn hole competition in the lush green grass and lazy afternoon relaxing on the deck were just what we needed for our family getaway. The kitchen is well stocked with every kitchen appliance we needed. We will definitely come back during a different season next year to expand our family adventures!

We booked this place last minute. Natalie was wonderful and very responsive. Beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked, huge comfortable sofa. Back yard was stunning! Expansive deck with lots of seating, large hot tub, beautiful view of river at edge of property. You can also fish there. I will definitely come back! back!

The property is a prime destination for trout fishing on the Arkansas River

This property was perfect for our elopement getaway. It was so beautiful and perfect for wedding photos. The hot tub overlooking the river was icing on the cake. Would absolutely return.

The house was great, right on the river! Our son enjoyed fishing all day and hanging out by the water. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. We will definitely be back!
