River Front 4-bedroom house with boat dock close to downtown St. Joseph.

We went on a family va action with my sister and husband and this property was a perfect fit.

The house was definitely spacious enough for 6 adults and 2 young children. The layout was a but unusual but worked out well. The kitchen was well stocked. There was plenty of seating for dining and relaxing. The decor gave a local and relaxed vibe.Suggestions:the bathrooms should be stocked with bath wash along with shampoo & conditioner. The one hair dryer in the house should be replaced. Also, two would be better than one!On our drive to the house on the first day, we were surprised & a bit concerned as we went through a very desolate area before getting to the small neighborhood that the house was in. The setting turned out to be AWESOME. Sitting on the back porch of the house, with morning coffee in hand, and watching the boats go right by on the river, was delightful.

Absolutely beautiful house, great location (not too far from downtown/lake but not in the center of everything which is exactly how we like it)! Ellen was great to communicate with, very quick response time. Would definitely stay here again.

Our family had a wonderful time. Couldn't have asked for better accomodations, all the comforts of home. Hope to be able to stay again in the future.

We had a wonderful stay. The house is lovely and so is the community. The house was clean, and had everything we needed for our stay. It is a quick drive to the beach and into town and being on the water was a great escape. Ellen was also extremely helpful and wick to respond to our needs.

Owner was easy to communicate with. The property matched the description and pictures. Spent lots of time on the covered porch and deck on our girls trip. St Joe has a great downtown area, great restaurants and a nice beach area. It was hard to leave but hope to return.

This house was the perfect place for me & my friends on a 50th birthday getaway! Everyone had a comfortable place to sleep, showers had good water pressure, and it was extremely well stocked with everything you could possibly need! We especially loved hanging out on the back porch right on the river. Ellen is the most kind host and very easy and quickly responsive to messages. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at the River House with my family and fiancé in the days leading up to our wedding! It was the perfect home to relax, make memories, and soak in some quiet moments before the big day. We loved fishing off the dock and spending evenings playing cards together on the back patio overlooking the water. The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The owner was also incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay.The only suggestion we have would be to consider providing a garage door opener for convenience.Overall, a beautiful and peaceful spot—we’d absolutely stay here again!

Our family of four including two adult children found the space to be just what we needed. Everyone was able to spread out and relax on their own as well as come together and enjoy the common areas. The house is well appointed and any questions were VERY quickly answered by our wonderful host, Ellen. The deck was a favorite spot to relax and visit. The neighborhood is friendly and quiet. We were a quick drive to anything we wanted to do in town. Thanks again for ending our two week road trip on a high note.

We had a multi family meet up for a week in June and hated to leave. This is a beautiful 4 bdrm home overlooking the river with boat dock available. Classic toys and videos for younger guests, extremely well appointed kitchen and well stocked supplies. Ellen was responsive within an hour and helpful. We will stay again.

We had the most amazing stay at Ellen’s place in St. Joseph! From start to finish, Ellen was an exceptional host; her communication was above and beyond. She was incredibly sweet, responsive, and so helpful anytime we had a question.The home itself was absolutely stunning, with a breathtaking view and everything you need for the perfect family getaway. It was cozy, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully stocked to make us feel right at home.This trip was especially meaningful for us, as we were visiting the area where my mom grew up—and staying at Ellen’s beautiful home truly made the whole experience even more memorable. We’re so grateful for the warm welcome and can’t wait to come back again.

The house is more then what you can ask beautiful, clean and close to the main street and beach would definitely rent again.

We had a great time at this property. We went with a two and five year old in addition to two grandparents. Very kid friendly property with plenty of toys for the kids. The deck was fantastic for the kids as it is fenced in and a beautiful setting overlooking the river. Hope to stay again!

The home is exceptional. Very clean,modern in appliances/facilities. Everything is in perfect working order. Beds comfortable . We loved dining on the deck overlooking the river. Neighborhood is very friendly and safe.

Our family (5 adults and 1 teen) were in St Joe for a family reunion. We stayed at this property for 2 days. We loved the location and ability to sit on the deck watching boats go up and down the river. This is a well appointed property, very quiet for a holiday weekend (May 23-25). We would highly recommend a stay here.

We stayed with another couple, and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Price difference to local hotels (2 rooms) was negligible so this option was a definite no-brainer. Nice gated community, big clean house with lots of room, and impeccable morning sun patio with a relaxing river view, great for bird watching. House has a well-equipped kitchen so made our own breakfast there - what a fun group activity! House has even their own small piers so boats are welcome. Had a wonderful weather hence ended up spending most of our mid-mornings on the patio (another plus compared to hotels). Ellen was a attentive host, St.Joe is a great place with nice restaurants, lovely beaches with beautiful sunsets, with wineries and natural dunes in vicinity. We will be back.
