This property was excellent that met all of our needs! Staying here felt so much like being home. It had everything we needed. Alex our most gracious host answered all our questions on check in and told us if we needed anything he would be next door or we could call him. Street car is 1 and a half blocks away that takes you into New Orleans so you can leave your car parked at the property. Restaurants, Grocery, Coffee Shops, and nice walks all are nearby. Alex is the best! Will stay again!!

Alex was a great host--easily accessible and prompt at responding to questions. The apartment is a traditional shotgun style unit, meaning you pass through each room to get to the next one--no hallway per se. It was clean and nicely decorated. In this case, the kitchen is the last room, so you enter the living room, then bedroom then kitchen. The bathroom is between the bedroom and living room and is updated. I only used the kitchen for coffee and to store some breakfast items, so really didn't cook. It looked decently equipped. The unit comes with coffee (local Community blend) and powdered sugar and creamer and a small, 4-cup coffee pot. There were some spices and things in the cupboard. The bed is very comfortable. The shower is awesome--great water pressure, although you have to step into the clawfoot tub which could be hard for some. I happened to be there during a record-breaking cold snap, and even with two heaters it was a bit chilly given the high ceilings--very unusual for NOLA. I had no trouble parking on the street--usually right in front of the apartment. There are several coffee shops, and a corner market within walking distance. I did have a car so can't speak to public transportation. I think this is a good unit for one person or a couple.

I love this property and the location. This is one of my favorite neighborhoods in New Orleans. Alex is a fantastic host who is personable and quick to respond. Great to have the owner next door. The only knocks on the property now that I've stayed a couple times have to do with the inconsistent wifi connection and the general layout of the furniture, especially in the bedroom. It is a lot to maneuver around the large bed to get to the kitchen--a tight and awkward squeeze to when carrying groceries, etc. I'd definitely suggest a different bed placement to allow for greater ease of movement and accessibility through that room.

We have now stayed at this location twice. We would have stayed there a number of other times, but it was alway booked. It is a good value for the cost and I would highly recommend it.

Had a great time staying in this cozy cottage. Fully appointed with kitchen, laundry, etc. Though I was out and about so much I didn't get to cook here! The host was attentive and polite. Can't wait to return...!

We escaped to New Orleans for a few days of nothing - strictly R&R. And we could not have picked better spot, this cottage is the one for us. We enjoyed the Uptown area, and we were close enough to everything we wanted to do, everywhere we wanted to drink and dine. We hope this place is available for our next visit. Thanks !

The property was in a nice neighborhood. We had no problems at all. There was some construction going on at the end of the street, but that wasn't a problem. The street car stop was one block over from the house. That's a great bonus if you dont have a car. My daughter and I purchased a 3 day passes and rode it everyday. Alex, the property owner was the best host ever!! He was very informative. I would definitely stay again

This cottage was very cozy and a great location to be home base while we explored New Orleans. The neighborhood was picture book NOLA, with colorful homes, lots of porches, flowers, and the street car. It's close to universities and the Audoubon Zoo/Park/Aquarium. There were some delicious places to eat within walking distance, easy walking distance (around the block!). The street car was a block away and it was easy to drive to the French Quarter. The host was very helpful and available when we had questions. The home is small but well appointed and had everything we needed, since we were mostly there to sleep and have breakfast. The kitchen had all the amenities -- toaster oven, microwave, dishwasher, stove/oven, laundry. This will be our first choice on our next visit!
