Relaxing mountain retreat in Big Canoe with wrap around deck and babbling brook

The house was absolutely amazing! Beautiful views, comfortable bedrooms, amazing bathrooms. The kitchen was extremely well stocked, and we made most of our meals there. Everything from check in to check out was very easy beautiful location! We have three children, six, seven, and eight. They had an amazing time with all the different things to do in the area. Would definitely love to come back.

We met some family at the cabin and all enjoyed it!! We did several hikes and cooked our meals there. We had all the supplies we needed in the kitchen. We creek is right by the house and so you don't need a sound machine - could hear it babbling from my bed at night!! Great place to stay!!

The cabin was even better than expected from the pictures. The owner was very detailed and extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Lisa provided us lots of things to do around Big Canoe and even sent some seasonal festivals. She also mailed back a forgotten item for us! Another outstanding perk of this property vs too many VRBO’s was that there are cleaning materials available for you to utilize as well as bathroom amenities. With little kids especially, it’s so much easier to have easy access to to these things to be able to clean up after them like you’re in your own home. Great place and great owner in a super landscape, highly recommended!

Had a great trip. House was clean and perfect size for our group. Kids enjoyed playing in the creek by the house and all the activities that Big Canoe offered.

This property was just the getaway we needed. It was large enough to accommodate a large family. The kids absolutely loved the property and the local amenities. The stream was such a plus to the overall ambiance. We absolutely loved it here and definitely will return!

We enjoyed our time at this peaceful cottage by the creek. The creek runs around screened porch, deck, and front of house. The house had everything we needed,very comfortable and beautiful bathrooms. TV worked great for college football. Pretty view of property in trees on side of hill. Property owners were great to work with. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Couldn’t have asked for more. Quiet and secluded with great views of the fall surroundings. House well-appointed with fantastic updates to kitchen and bath facilities. Great place for a peaceful weekend away! Highly recommended.

My family and I enjoyed our stay. The kids enjoyed the Nintendo of all things! The beds were comfy and we loved that the table fit our large group. The furniture was a little worn and some of the dishes had to be washed before we could use them (which happens with dish washers) but all in all I would definitely come back.

This property was so clean, just as described as far as the house itself goes, so spacious, and in a GREAT location! It's private and very comfortably fit 8 of us. The description could be a bit clearer about the amenities at big canoe costing extra and not being included in the rental. All of us read the description ahead of time multiple times and just weren't super clear. Also, there could be more extra blankets/sheets, and the description should list that two of the beds are trundle beds in the bunk room. Once those pull out, there is no floor space, which is just good to know if trying to fit 6 people in that room :) The kitchen is small but works great for what you need! We cooked several meals there. There is no hot tub on the property, so the description is a bit misleading there./ All in all, I HIGHLY recommend this property with the understanding of amenities costing extra and the setup of the bunk room.
