Relax on Lake Pontchartrain

We had a wonderful time at this gorgeous house. It was the perfect location, and very comfortable. We cooked a delicious Thanksgiving dinner in the huge kitchen and enjoyed it on the porch overlooking the marina. Highly recommend and would love to stay again.

4 adult males enjoyed the outside areas both in front and back. The space was perfect for us. The view of the Southern yacht club was beautiful. The park area in front was very nice

Stunningly beautiful! Decor and views are superb. We did have some lock box code confusion at check-in but it was corrected. I would likely stay here again with our grandsons, but this is technically a one bedroom, not two. Please check the provided floor plan carefully. The master bed has a partial wall between it and the two Murphy beds. The king-sized sleeper in the den worked well for the older teen grandsons and provided us some privacy. My only real concern was that the owner/manager should provide two keys rather than one for fire safety/egress at each door.

We stay at the Boathouse EVERY time we are in New Orleans. We cannot say enough good things about the space and the hosts. Its a short drive in to the FQ, we can fish, relax, and just feel right at home. The Boathouse never disappoints!

Beautiful location with great views of the lake and the marina. Lots of good restaurants nearby. The floorplan of this place is great for families with kids -- lots and lots of sleeping options, cleverly disguised as couches and murphy beds. The one downside during our stay is that one shower wasn't working properly (and we had chosen this property in part because it had two bathrooms). Having to share one bathroom between multiple adults was a bummer. The owner was very responsive and thankful for our passing along the information -- but no remedy during our short stay.

Great experience! Even though the weather was rainy for several days it was still very enjoyable. Well furnished, clean and spacious. We have our boat at the marina so it was very convenient to get into the lake quickly.

We always stay at the Boathouse by the Lake. This property, its owners and support staff are excellent hosts and good humans! They take care of you. We visit with family, as a couple, and this last time with another family. Every penny spent here is worth it, from safety of location, to ease of access to the Quarter. Highly recommended and will always be our go to NOLA home away from home.

Great location! Beautiful home! Wonderful view! We had everything we needed, except the code to get in the door. After a few phone calls, we got it.
