Relax In your Private Lagoon Pool, Galveston's Best Backyard!

The backyard is as awesome as it looks in photos. We relaxed in and round the pool and hot tub. When the battery died in the front door she replies promptly. Some of our group walked to the beach and another walked to the strand. All the bedrooms were large. AC worked great.

We had a great time at this rental. Beautiful home. Great location and the host was very helpful. The kitchen has everything you might need. Our party of 10 was very comfortable.

It was the perfect vacation for our family. The pool was amazing and the location was perfect!

I knew the stay was going to be good just by the communications from the host 2 days prior. She even started warming up the hot tub 2 hours prior to arriving. The property itself was great! Everything worked great, all needs were thought of and addressed. 100% recommended to friends already and im sure we will stay again. Cant say enough good things.

Quite interesting house to say the least. Hot tub was nice. Toilet has stains all over the seat/inside lid that looks like urine. We finally decided that it must’ve been some hot coffee or something like that, but it looks gross. That was the worst thing in my opinion.

Comfy beds, roomy hot tub and inviting backyard, and cleanliness were all appreciated.

We greatly enjoyed our stay! The house was beautiful and spacious. Ramona was very easy to communicate with. The location was close to the beach and many activities and restaurants.

Apartment in basement not defined well. Apartment entrance needs better entry. Family space great and bedrooms nice and roomy. Too many bedrooms on main floor for one shared bathroom. We made it work.

Ramona was extremely helpful with finding a solution for the seating for our Thanksgiving dinner. She came up with a way for ten people to sit around a table that usually seats 6.

Perfect from beginning to end. Loved every moment and such a close walk to beach. House was perfect for 12. And while we did not use the pool we did sit by it and enjoyed the sound of the waterfall, Ramona could not been a better host for us and was always quick to respond if we had questions.

This is a lovely house but getting inside was challenging. A hint for future renters is to bring your luggage in through the garage. You will need to ask the host for the key code in advance. It is NOT the same code to enter through the front door with the high steps. Hint #2 - if you are staying in the garage apartment, you can only enter it through the storeroom. The host was very accomodating with all of my questions and the property is perfectly located for activities.

The pool was the best. The bedrooms were big and comfortable and the living room had plenty of room for all of us. We had a problem with the front door, but it didn’t affect our stay. You are close to all of the places you’ll want to visit. It’s a great place to stay!!

Ramona was an OUTSTANDING host!! Prior to arrival she proactively provided us with everything we needed to know to access and utilize the amenities at her beautiful home. Everything in the home was clean, well appointed and easily accessible. Ramona also touched base periodically to ensure we were finding everything that we needed. The pool and spa are PERFECTION and instructions for use are readily available and labeled for convenience. The location is so close to everything!! The home is an historical Storm of 1900 survivor and it’s beautiful. She has ample poll towels and floats, an outdoor TV and plenty of seating for everyone. Beds were all comfortable with quality furnishings and super cool coastal art throughout. Thank you for a fabulous girls’ weekend and shh bc sting your home with us!!!

This is our second stay at this property for our family vacation. We love this house for it's beauty and history, convenience and the outdoor oasis. Even the grandkids (6 & 10) ask me to book our house. The host is very responsive. We highly recommend this property!

Great place. Amazing retreat!

The house is beautiful and as that old world charm to its structure. The backyard area is what sold us on this spot and it was perfect. The atmosphere was nice and quiet place to relax with family. It is only a few blocks from the beach. So we spent the morning there and retreated back to the private pool in the afternoon. The pool/hot tub area is a nice place to relax.Ms. Ramona was quick to answer any questions we had. I highly recommend this Galveston hideaway.

Loved the beauty of the house! Pool was amazing! Loved how spacious everything was! Host was great!Only Complaints would be:Downstairs apartment needing a little extra cleaning. T.v in downstairs didn’t work Guy came in to clean pool and startled everyone but didn’t have to stop swimming or anything Everything else was great and highly recommend!!!!!!

Great place for a getaway, yet staycation! Family in town for son’s graduation. Home is very big and not crowded even with all the adults. We loved spending all our time in the pool and hot tub while watching NBA playoffs from the hot tub. Grilled and enjoyed a family celebration all together. Owner was always available and very prompt with responses.

We had the best time. There is so much space for a family to spread out! We love the piol and the gourmet kitchen! We definitely will stay here when we come back to Galveston again! Thanks Ramona!

Nice updated older home with pool - would stay here again when in the Galveston area.

This was a perfect location for hosting a group of good friends (mostly attorneys and engineers in our late 30s/early 40s) for a weekend of enjoying the best restaurants and bars Galveston Island has to offer. Plenty of space for everyone, and we were walking distance to both The Strand and the beach. The outdoor space was a perfect place to hang out as well. Nice, quiet neighborhood. The host, Ramona, was very responsive and friendly. Would definitely stay here again!

Stunning house. Most responsive host I’ve ever experienced. Never waited longer than 5 minutes for an answer or instruction. Short walk to the beach through a wonderful Old Galveston neighborhood. Beds and linens were very comfortable. Bring extra towels if you plan to swim/hot tub. Great outside seating & eating areas.

We came to Galveston to attend the Dickens on the Strand and celebrate my sister’s 50th birthday. We had an amazing time. We normally rent a beach house but I was happy to find a historic home with room for our family. We had a wonderful time. The home is historic and so charming. We will definitely stay again.

The host is fantastic! this antique home is fantastic and very well supplied. plenty of room for a large group. We went for the Lone Star Motorcycle rally and the location is very well suited to both sides of the rally (walking distance). The pool is beautiful and the neighbors are very friendly.

Four of my old study group were able to stay together, along with one whole tag-along family (mine). We all had our own rooms and plenty of space in the kitchen and living room and porch to talk over the good old days. The beds were very comfortable. Kitchen had the necessities. The basement « apartment » was perfect for louder pre-teens who also made good use of the pool. It was fantastic to maximize the time we spent together. We used the hot tub. The garden was lovely to hang out together in during the day. Really was perfect!

One of the best vacations we had. The home was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. Ramona was wonderul to work with. She gave us many tips about the must see places and good restaurants too. We are ready to schedule our next trip there.

The home is a beautiful home steeped in history. The original hardwoods, the ornate ceilings, the large windows and more! The backyard had a wonderful custom pool with a huge Hottub. There was plenty of comfortable seating areas, an outdoor television and A clean grill. The host was friendly and helpful. We will be back. a clean grill.

Having the pool was amazing, the kids enjoyed it!

The property was clean and well stocked. The only problem we had was the air conditioning unit was unable to keep up during the day. When bedtime came around, the house was unbearable due to the high tempeture.

My husband and I, adult children and two young grandchildren stayed for 5 nights. We enjoyed the pool which is the only way to tolerate the August heat. The flies and mosquitoes were bothersome, so be sure to take your repellent. We grilled steaks and shrimp on the home grill and ate gumbo from a local restaurant. We had everything we needed. The downstairs has an extra living area which we didn’t utilize.(It was kinda spooky down there. LOL! Yes, we would stay here again.

We had a girls trip to Galveston. We have been friends for 60+ years. It was a perfectly designed home for use. It had 4 bedrooms in main house and a garage apartment meant with bedroom at ground level. The main level is one flight of stairs above ground level. I’ve stayed in several VRBOs and this was my favorite, the kitchen was well appointed with everything you would need & the bedroom and common areas were comfortable and clean. The Lagoon swimming pool was the absolute BEST! Just exactly as shown! The hot tub over flowed into the pool creating the perfect water temperature. Be sure to read information the host left so the pool with remain perfect.. would definitely recommend this property and we all look forward to returning here. Thank you to a great host!! B

If you’re looking for a spacious home for a family vacation - this is it!!! The historic charm of the house is the cherry on top! The backyard oasis was loved by all ages and the massive hot tub was very relaxing! The checkin and checkout process was super easy and the hostess was quick to respond with any questions we had. We highly recommend this home and do plan on staying here again!!
