Rare find! Lakefront Cottage On Pristine Merrymeeting Lake! Open for Labor Day!

This lake cottage was clean and everything worked as it should. The owner was pleasant and available for any questions we had. The lake view was outstanding and the dock was well built. A few days were quite warm and humid. When we did need air conditioning during the day, the mini split units work well and are quiet. Plenty of hot water available. Water pressure is lower than I am use to, but adequate for any showers, or doing dishes. All essentials you need for the kitchen are provided. Beds were ok. Let's face it.....you never sleep as good as in your own bed, but when I got up early to see sunrises I was NOT disappointed. Adequate space for a couple cars and a boat trailer if you bring one. The fishing was very good! The water quality of this lake is excellent. When we walked South Shore Drive all the neighbors were friendly. The cottage has very traditional unpainted pine walls and I have no problem with that at all. My only recommendation would be to replace 2 0r 3 bulbs in the living with brighter LED bulbs that would last longer, be brighter, and even save electricity. Reading or even looking at the remote for the television is difficult with dark walls and low lighting. Overall, It was a very relaxing and pleasant vacation.

Cozy, clean cabin with amazing views of the lake. Wonderful patio and lakeside seating. A great place to spend time during the summer or fall to see the New Hampshire fall foliage. Also, the host was a pleasure to deal with. We really enjoyed our stay.

Property was clean and cozy and the kitchen was well stocked. The views of the lake were excellent. Able to take long walks of along the water and enjoyed listening to the loons. The lake water is crystal clear and excellent for swimming.

Wonderful vacation

The house is located right on the water and the lake itself is beautiful and clear. The house is small but comfortable with what you need to have a relaxing week. It was a little musty at first but that went away within a day. Leslie was super nice and very helpful with advice on things to do and places to eat, etc. We would definitely go back. The whole area was just beautiful.

The property is very nice. Everyday The lake showed a different character... Always interesting.. The cottage is well equipped and Very comfortable! Beautiful area!

A charming cottage with exceptional views of and access to the lake. We greatly enjoyed our experience.

Beautiful cabin overlooking the cleanest lake in NH. From the outdoor deck you can see the bottom of the lake 20 feet out. Very quiet w/ the exception of the occasional watercraft and the call of the loons. Many houses on the lake are on very steep embankments, however this spot had a gradual slope down the cabin and water. It made unloading/loading or vehicle easy. We enjoyed it immensely. Worth every penny!

We really enjoyed our time at this cottage on the lake. The views are so beautiful! You feel like you are on the water when looking out the living room window. It’s a very cozy place!

We enjoyed a week of relaxation, amazing views, sunrises and sunsets and watching and listening to the loons. It was also a nice spot to go for walks. We hope to return.
