Lovely house in a rural spot, far from the masses. The house answers totally the description in the listing. Super ocean view, nice garden, plenty of room to park a car or 2, nice and cosy interior, complete kitchen with even, for once, sharp knives. In short top place to spend your holidays. We will be back !!!

The house is exactly as described in the text. Beautifully furnished with every imaginable comfort. Beautiful garden with terraces around the house so there was always a place where you could sit in the shade if we wanted to. The beds are comfortable in spacious bedrooms. We did not find any negatives for our holiday home. We can only recommend this house for anyone looking for peace and quiet in Madeira

We wanted a quiet, remote place to relax and we certainly found it here. The house is well equipped, spacious and comfortable. There's everything you need in the kitchen, we cooked every day. I found the stairs rather steep, a challenge for someone with knee problems but that didn't distract from the enjoyment of the place. There are many interesting books (in Dutch) but also rather too many personal items around the house. There is a steep climb to get out to the main road but that's not unusual for Madeira of course. We loved walking along the levada which is found just up the hill from the house, fabulous views if you take a walk. We hadn't realised that there was a septic tank but coped with the necessary rules.. Peter's directions were great, very helpful to find the house the first time you drive there, and he is most willing to help if you want information about car hire etc.

I have really enjoyed my stay. Great private bedroom with luxurious bathroom. Interior design is well done (combination antique & modern furniture). The hosts make you feel very welcome and dinner was fantastic (including wine!) so I didn't bother to go out for dinner. Beautiful location with breathtaking ocean view and lots of levada hikes in the near surroundings. I would love to come back some time!

We visited in October 2010 with a veiw to exploring the west of Madeira and this property was well placed for that. Its location is quite remote which gave us solitude and silence which is unimaginable if you live in town, but is only a few minutes to local restaurants. If you walk, you are 3mins from a levada, and by car you can reach the mountains in 15mins. The house itself is clean bright and sunny and has everything you will need should you like to cook for yourself. Most of the books are in Dutch, so if you are a reader take your own supply!! I would recommend a smal to medium car as well as the roads in the west are quite narrow and if you are not used to driving on the right it can be a challange but exciting!!

In this completely restored and renovated house we had the time of our lives. Stunning views, spacious terraces, lovely garden, etc etc. The house itself is cosy furnished with antiques and design furniture. Loads of on the walls, cosy fireplace, super kitchen with all appliances that you can think of (even an egg-boiler!!) The house is situated at the end of a cull-the-sac, so no traffic no noise only peace and quiteness. A super place to be and I would recommend it to anyone.
