This modern farm-style ranch house is tucked away on 16 acres in San Luis Obispo on a beautiful working horse ranch. Relax on the front deck and enjoy the quiet sunrise and sunset views, acres of pastures with grazing horses, and the sounds of nature. This newly renovated 3 bedroom / 2 bathroom home features vaulted ceilings with an open floor plan, a fully furnished kitchen, and a private fully fenced-in yard. Additionally, there is a private detached fourth bedroom. The yard is perfect to enjoy outdoor BBQs and yard games, or just relax around the fire pit on Adirondack chairs and unwind under the bistro lights and twinkling stars of the crisp central coastal evenings.

Just a short drive down a private dirt road to the home, you'll be greeted by several beautiful horses enjoying the open pastures. During your stay, you may hear the clip-clop of playing hooves or the excited nickering of horses awaiting morning & evening feedings. (Feeding times are approximately 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. for reference.) Horse riding and lessons are not available on-site, but there are other local trail ride experiences we can direct you to.

Our getaway is a unique vacation rental property because of its convenient location to all the amenities of the city, yet the best of quiet country living. With inspiring views of the “Seven Sisters” range (a line of seven non-active volcanic peaks), the ranch is surrounded by rolling landscapes, picturesque pastures, grassy fields, neighboring cattle ranches, seasonal poppies, and glowing sunsets- you just might forget it is located only minutes from downtown SLO, Cal Poly University, gorgeous wineries, numerous restaurants, thriving nightlife, hiking, and beaches.

We love animals. We have 4 resident pups (3 French Bulldogs, and a Chocolate Lab) that wander the property during the days. We are excited to meet your furry family members as well,  but we do require a few ground rules. Dogs need to be on leashes when not inside the house or contained inside the yard. This is to ensure everyone’s safety. Dogs must be cleaned up after, and there is a pooper scooper and garbage can on site.

Children must be supervised at all times to ensure their safety and the safety of others.

Bring coats because SLO’s warm spring and summer days are cooled by coastal evening breezes! There is lots of closet space to keep extra layers.

Wonderful and convenient to Cal Poly. We had 8 people staying and it was more than enough space. Kitchen was fully equipped. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The property and the horses on the property were delightful. For a large group this was perfect.

Lovely house for 2 families dropping off our boys at Cal Poly. Love the ranch feel and how close it is to town. The house is very clean and well furnished and the views are wonderful. And I have to mention the sweet foals in the pasture out front. We loved watching them race around.

This house was great! Exactly as described, super clean, plenty of towels, dishes, etc for our large group. Loved being close to downtown, but felt like we were on a secluded horse ranch. LOVED the horses right next to the house. The hosts were very responsive and super nice to let us checkout late when our flight was delayed. Great experience overall, highly recommend!

Just had my bachelorette party in SLO, couldn’t have asked for a better rental property to house my girl group of 10! The house was clean, as listed, and the perfect distance from downtown. We loved spending time at the house too, its open layout concept was perfect for us to all spend time together in the same room. Would recommend this home to anyone interested in staying in SLO. Hope to come back soon!!

Comfortable and clean house. The beds were great. The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is that there were only 6 bath towels for 7 people, there was no lighter available for the fire pit and the kitchen lacked key supplies such as a colander. The separated bedroom was not used because we found 4 spiders in the bed. I imagine that room is not used very often and the spiders moved in. Otherwise we really loved the property and the kids enjoyed the horses. We would stay there again!

Charming guest house tucked away in the open fields of San Luis Obispo. House was exactly as it was portrayed in the photos. Clean. Charming and private. The host was so kind and even greeted us as we arrived. The absolute best part was the horses! Friendly horses live just outside the Casita. We loved petting them, watching them run and relax in the field. We would love to stay here again!

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful ranch property! With four adults and our dog, we felt perfectly at home. The surroundings were absolutely stunning, with picturesque views everywhere you look. The horses on the property were a special treat, adding such charm to the entire experience. The home itself was both luxurious and comfortable. The beds were incredibly cozy, providing everyone with restful nights after long days of exploring. The home was spotless and beautifully decorated, really showcasing the unique beauty of the ranch setting. We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway and are already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend this property to anyone seeking a serene, scenic, and comfortable retreat!

We really enjoyed our stay at this unique property just short drive away from the University. Beautiful to wake up to the mountains and beautiful horses. We didn’t get a chance to use the backyard amenities but it looked fun with some games and a fire pit. We had two families and it worked out as a great option. Great modern decor and very clean! Hope to be back!

Absolutely fantastic place to stay in SLO. We had our family there for a wedding and didn't want to be in a traditional neighborhood house, the privacy here is such a draw, but it's still close to everything. The house is gorgeous and in picturesque setting between the coastal hills. When you walk in it feels warm and inviting and gives a wow this is nice feeling. Living room is a great place for a lot of people to congregate and chat. It was very very quiet and so cool and comfortable at night. The surrounding horses were an added bonus! The interior of the house is very new, updated and spotless. We used all the bedrooms and the exterior casita. It was also well stocked with toiletries and paper products, we didn't have to pick up anything! The house has everything you need - including a well stocked kitchen. We didn't cook there, but if had everything. The beds were amazing - super comfortable and they had a lot of extra bedding if the pullout or an extra blanket, etc. is needed. The dining room table is large and great for late night games. The washer/dryer was new (like everything in the home) and convenient. I would definitely stay at this lovely home again, no question. We didn't bring a dog, but the backyard is enclosed if you need to. We couldn't have asked for more - it was absolutely perfect.

The location on the horse ranch was so beautiful and the house was newly updated. It’s located close to town as well. The pasture manager was very nice and even offered to let the kids help groom the horses, which we unfortunately didn’t get around to. The house was really comfortable and the enclosed backyard was perfect for the kid and dogs. Thank for letting us stay!
