Raleigh Retreat: Cozy Waterfront Lake Home on Nolin Lake & Close to Mammoth Cave

This is a great family getaway spot! On the water, quiet, plenty to do. Hosts are excellent!

Wonderfully clean and well appointed! Loved having the kayaks - lake was low but owners let us port the kayaks to the boat launch area so kind! Great experience!

Wonderful house. Well suited for dogs and young children. The house has everything you can think of and more especially in the kitchen. We also very much enjoyed chatting with the owners who happen to live next door. Very homey, we will be visiting again for sure!

Well appointed. Appreciated that ice was supplied. A cozy space with a good lake view. Liked mornings on back deck. Steps to lake in good condition. Went to bottom 3 times to enjoy the serenity. Sorry to see lake water level so low. Hoping for rain in your area.

Great clean place!

Very clean space and fully equipped.

We had a terrific stay. I would definitely stay here again! The house is comfortable and clean. Everything you need if you want to cook. The weather was perfect for an evening campfire. Mammoth Cave is nearby and a trip to the Zoo, Kentucky Down Under was a highlight. You can feed a kangaroo or two or several.

The property was clean and had everything we needed. The fire pit and games made the evenings enjoyable. The bedrooms need room darkening shades. The kitchen was well equipped except there was no salt! Unfortunately, the water level in the lake was low so we could not use the kayaks. The proximity to Mammoth Cave was awesome!

The hosts were wonderful. Very communicative and helpful when we experienced a slight snafu. The place is super clean and nice. Good amenities. Games were a bonus with my son! Peaceful area also. Definitely recommend and would return.

Our family so enjoyed staying here! The views of the lake are beautiful, not only from the back yard but also the deck. The home is nicely decorated and very clean. The living room furniture was super comfy with lots of space for our family of 4 to relax. The kitchen was well equipped for us to make meals. We enjoyed roasting s’mores at the fire pit was looking up at the star filled sky. Corlynn and Joe are wonderful hosts who clearly care about their guests. Their communication was always prompt and they were so helpful in giving suggestions on area activities and places to eat (highly recommend breakfast down the road at Lakeside Cafe). Thanks again for a lovely trip! We’ll be back!

It was perfect for a nice getaway weekend to hike trails and tour Mammoth Cave.

From check in to check out we had a great time. There are 98 stairs going down to the lake so be ready to exercise. It’s worth it! The lake is beautiful and peaceful. The property had everything we needed and more. Beach towels and life jackets were available to use which was really nice. It was dog friendly with gates on the deck. Hosts were helpful, friendly and responsive. 5 stars

We enjoyed our stay. The weather didn’t always cooperate with us but the few days we were there we had a good time. Beautiful area.

Lovely spot on the lake in a very quiet neighborhood with lots of wildlife. We saw deer every day! The house was nicely furnished and extremely clean. The check in and check out process was very easy. Perfect place to stay for our day trip to Mammoth Cave.

Can’t wait to come back to this beautiful property on Nolin Lake! The trailer is recently renovated and spotless. The owners are amazing hosts and provide everything you need including kayaks to rent, life jackets, and floats to hang out on the lake. You won’t find a better place and only 30 min away from Mammoth Cave!

Nice little lake house, good property with a dock on the water. Some more amenities would have been nice, like soap/shampoo in the shower. Great place to hang out and in a great location.

My boyfriend and I went down for a getaway for my birthday (July 1). We are from a bigger city in NE Ohio, so it was a bit different for us being so secluded from everything. At the same time it was very nice and peaceful being able to get away from the big city hussle. Would definitely be back to stay at this property. It was so beautiful and being able to go sit on the dock to watch the sunrise was so pretty.

This is an excellent vacation home. It was just as described. With a bonus. We were able to rent kayaks directly from the owners. It was clean and the owners provided extras like life jackets beach towels and sticks for the campfire. We had a great time. Thanks for sharing your vacation home with us

The home was beautiful, and a peaceful getaway. Very clean and well stocked for our stay. The owners were so friendly, and checked in to make sure we had everything we need. A great place for a family vacation.

Loved this spot on the lake! Clean, kept up, private and easy process to check in and out. Its a little far from mammoth cave and the attractions but it is priced lower than places right next to mammoth cave. We were also traveling with two dogs, so that limited places we could stay. Sadly the Nolan preserve right next to here is closed due to flooding at this time. But I bet that is a beautiful place to take the kids and pets.

Overall this property was great.

My best friend and I came for a weekend getaway. The property was perfect - secluded but a close drive to nearby caves, restaurants and coffee spots. Would definitely stay again

Myself and 5 friends stayed at this property for a few days during Easter weekend and it was perfect. The kitchen is well stocked and the fire pit was really nice. We were able to use the grill as well. Would definitely stay here again.

The place is just perfect! Clean, warm, cozy, comfortable, well decorated! It really makes you feel home away from home!

We had a great stay here while out sightseeing with our kids and dog! Lake is beautiful and our kids loved the yard. Would be awesome to use in the summer when lake is in full swing.

We had a lovely time at the property. We grilled steaks, roasted marshmallows in the fire pit, played cards on the back patio, and slept wonderfully! The property is as listed other than the house next door is much closer than appears in the photos. This wasnlt a problem for us tgough.

The home was very clean with everything we needed for our short stay. Communication was great with the owners.

This house was very cleanly/homey compared to other vrbos we've stayed in. The house was fully stocked with linens, ammenedies, and all the cooking utensils youd need. It was about 38 minutes from Mammoth Cave. The beds are okay more on the stiff side, but still semicomfortable. There is a propane grill (it was dirty from other users so we didnt get a chance to try it). The deck was very nice, you can tell the owners maintain the outdoor and indoor well. You can buy 5 firewood and rent kayaks from the owners as well. Thank you for the stay-Haley and Dom

The place was comfortable, clean, and I had a good time . I traveled two hours and 30 minutes to the Ark encounter. The next day I traveled 35 minutes to Mammoth Cave and did a two hour tour and on my way back to Georgia. I stopped and Christmas shopped in Nashville. Thank you for my stay.

Beautiful property. We booked the property for a family birthday getaway. The house was perfect size, clean, very well stocked and so inviting. Check in was very easy, the property owners are very helpful and respond quickly. Will definitely rent this home again.

Amazing accommodations

It is pretty far from food or anything. I would just say, take food to cook! Otherwise everything is wonderful! Host were fantastic 😃

The owners have thought of everything. Very clean and well stocked. Sitting out on the back deck with a view of the lake was awesome. A walk down the stairs to the dock was a leg work out but well worth it. We would definitely recommend a stay at this property.

Stayed here while visiting Mammoth Cave. Also drove to Bowling Green and Nashville. fine just stay right at the property and enjoy the peace and quiet. Not close to restaurants. Comfortable and well kept.

The home was exactly as advertised. Right on the lake and very beautiful and quiet. It was so relaxing to drink morning coffee on the deck overlooking the lake watching the sunrise. Location is close to a multitude of great hiking opportunities. If you want to get away, this is the place!

I enjoyed swimming off their dock. The water was clear, cool and clean. My husband enjoyed fishing off the dock too. We saw deer walking by lots of birds singing. It’s a beautiful place to stay.
