Rahe Guest Haus 30 minutes from Austin

We stayed at the Rahe Guest Haus for a quiet family getaway. This house was perfect and a real gem. Communicating with Marjorie was great as she was very responsive to all messages. It was nice to meet her upon our arrival too. The property was extremely clean with plenty of fresh linens and towels provided. No details were spared as Marjorie provided all the little things that make a BIG difference. Such as, providing coffee and creamer, shower toiletries, laundry detergent, and a completely decked out kitchen; those small details always make a VRBO so enjoyable. My husband and I enjoyed drinking our coffee or cocktails outside while watching the many deer on the property.They were so cute! There were many sitting areas outdoors and we enjoyed a dinner outside on the picnic table too. The property is a very short drive from Gruene, maybe 6 minutes or so. So it was not too far but just far enough. We also enjoyed an evening stroll taking in all the scenery and wildlife. Again, the Rahe Guest Haus was a real treasure and we can't wait to come back. Don't pass on this beautiful home!!!

My wife and I stayed for a couple nights visiting family in New Braunfels. She was very impressed on how beautiful the house was. It's well equipped with everything you need and the beds are very comfy.It's location is excellent for visiting Gruene or anything else in New braunfels. We really enjoyed sitting outside having coffee in the morning and watching the deer feed next to the house. The owner is very sweet and was very attentive to our needs.

Clean, cute, and cozy. The perfect space for a girls weekend. Marjorie had the place decorated for Christmas which was the cherry on top!

What a relaxing stay we had at the Rahe Guest house! The bed was so comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Marjorie the owner lives next door and is a lovely person! She is right there if you need anything, but does not intrude on your privacy. The house is in a quiet area, with deer roaming the yard daily! Plenty of restaurants and things to do in the area.

We very much enjoyed staying here for our weekend trip. The hosts were excellent. The house was clean. It was close to everything. We loved seeing the deer and the animals out back.

Marjorie was an excellent host. She was very flexible with timing if there was not another renter back-to-back. Since she lives next door she was able to quickly resolve a minor maintenance issue before we arrived, and clearly communicated timelines with us while we were traveling.The property is beautiful, and just around the corner from Rockin R on the Guadalupe and downtown Gruene. New Braunfels proper is only ten minutes away.We enjoyed seeing the deer, ponies, and goats, and the house itself was cozy and clean.

Great stay, convenient location, owners take great care to accommodate guests. House was spotless, well organized and a joy to stay in. Will be returning soon.

Amazing 2Br one bath house. House looks like maybe 1930s or 40s. But, totally re done and with nice furnishings too. Comes with a goat, 2 Shetlands and lots of deer. Definitely recommend and would stay here again. Thank you hosts.

Loved our few days in the adorable Rahe House and lovely neighborhood amongst the deer. Oh yeah, and nearby Gruene and New Braunfels were fun too!!

We have stayed at Rahe Guest Haus several times over the past few years. The home is perfect and the owners are great. Location is close to everything while still private and quiet. Our “go to” place to stay for sure!!

My family had a great stay while visiting Gruene for a wedding. The ambiance of the house & heavily treed lot was just what we were looking for. We enjoyed coffee on the porch while watching the many deer and butterflies. The home was well appointed with anything one might need and the Gruene historic district was only about a 5 minute drive away. We wouldn’t hesitate to book this home when in the area again.
