Everything was as described. Perfect location.

It was an amazing time at Vitalina's wonderful property. Vitalina and her family were fantastic. They are very responsive hosts and they helped us a lot during our stay in Madeira. The property is located in a great position on the island and it is quiet, surrounded by nature, in the mountains, but with an easy access to all the main directions that a tourist may be interested on. The house is clean, well equipped and so welcoming. I highly recommend it.

The location of the house is perfect for exploring Madeira in all directions by car, at the same time everything you need is close by with a supermarket, a bakery and the health center. The house and the adjoining rooms are high-quality and designed with great attention to detail. There were only six of us in the house and so our 4 kids had each an own bedroom with a 1,40m queensize bed and were very happy. The large table in the kitchen, the large pool house, the living room with pool table and the sufficiently spacious bedrooms offer plenty of space and opportunities to deal also with larger groups. The garden and the pool are well maintained, the unheated pool has completely warmed up sufficiently by the sun. The fact that we were able to use the 9-seater van right away was perfect for us, we were picked up at the airport and brought back there. The service and helpfulness was excellent and exactly as described in previous comments. Since the house is located on the north side, there were quite a few moments when the clouds covered the sun differently than on the south side. Some of us found this particularly helpful, but everyone has to decide for themselves. Anyway because of the wind on the island a few little warmer clothes can be useful. We would definitely recommend the house 100%, thank you so much, Vitalina and Marco! All the best for you!

Close to everything but far enough away to experience the beaty and peace of the mountains nearby. The host was fantastic and very responsive and helpful. The villa is so much better than the photos!

We had a lovely stay in Rosario and only wish the weather had been kinder to us! The pool did not get much use, neither did the outdoor eating space due to the rain and chilly temperatures, which was most disappointing. The BBQ still had plenty of use though as it's in an amazing cooking outhouse! The pool table got a lot of use as well due to the rain - it was great for the adults and children alike. The only challenge was the children's bedroom being at the top of two sets of spiral stairs, with our 4 year old this was OK, but the 3 year olds were not trusted to sleep up there. But, that was no problem as there were so many rooms and beds on the floor below! We had one minor issue during our stay - totally out of the owner's control - and when we called to figure out how to fix it, someone was round to resolve it for us in no time at all. Vitalina and Marco were the best of hosts! We hope to return to Madeira and see it in more sunshine and with less rockfalls across the roads; although the waterfalls were simply stunning! Quinta do Rosario is as spacious as the photos reveal. Tucked up a mountain with stunning views over the mountains surrounding the property, this place feels like a little paradise. The accommodation was airy and modern with convenient facilities such as dishwasher and washing machine. The house was also equipped with plenty of towels which was neccessary as we used the swimming pool daily. The car ride to Funchal which is a must-see town only took 30 minutes on Madeira's excellent roads. The mountain road leads to great walking and picnic spots worth exploring because of the many views over the island and the ocean. The owners are lovely people. So welcoming and friendly and clearly wanted to make our stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. They also had some good tips on the things to do and see.
