We went to EAA AirVenture for the week and needed a place to stay that wasn't camping or a nearby hotel. The drive was about 35-40 minutes each way, but it's all back roads. We loved the seclusion. We still heard planes coming and going, even from that distance. It had plenty of bedrooms for us, since our son brought his friend as a guest. The bathrooms were a little odd, since the upstairs bathroom, where three of the bedrooms were located, can only be accessed through one of the bedrooms. And there was no door to secure the bathroom. But I absolutely love little passages in old homes that lead to unexpected places, so I was excited to explore the use of space. I sat on the sundeck to read my book, enjoying the sunshine and warmth, while my son and husband stayed in the well-air-conditioned house. Easy access, quick response from the owner. Gorgeous landscaping - loved the wildflowers and plants. Sat on the back deck in the morning to listen to the birds and small animals. The first floor bedroom was huge - it was its own living space. Absolutely no complaints. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals. Would definitely stay again if we're in the area.
This was our 3rd trip to Green Lake. The location of this house is perfect- it is a half mile to the marina and a quick walk to town. My family and friends love the town charm and restaurants. The town square near the house has live music often and an area for fishing. The lake is perfect for water sports and boating. The house was clean and had all supplies needed for cooking. Three bedrooms are upstairs and a large bedroom is on the main level. There was a table on the deck perfect for playing games and eating. We would stay here again!
