The House is located near the La Sal mountains. We found it clean, and as described: It's well equipped for preparing meals, hanging out with family, and having a good time. The drive to Arches takes about 50 min, and to the Canyonlands south entry it takes about the same time, so get up early :) Grocery stores and gas stations are available in Moab (a 40-45 min drive). There is a small store with essentials and a small gas stain in La Sal.
We had a great time. We might return next year
We really enjoyed our time at this La Sal property. It is a distance from town, but that’s what we wanted. It was beautiful! As stated in previous reviews there is a sulfur smell in the water. The house is clean and we really enjoyed visiting on the back patio looking at the mountain.
If you love the quiet, solitude and beauty of the mountains, here you go!. A very nice home with outstanding views in a peaceful setting. Deer visited us each day! Moab is a 45 minute drive and that town has everything any outdoor enthusiast could ever ask for. The water does take getting used to but that was the only negative. We loved this place.
The house is great and with great views. It was a little further than anticpated from the Moab and it takes about 45-50 minutes to get there. The house was perfect size and hand all the ammenities. We saw prarie dogs, deer, and wood tailed rats. It was quite every night and grazed up onthe stars. If you stay here make sure you shop for food and water before you arrive. There is nothing around for miles.
We were pleased with the condition, decor and cleanliness and the view of the mountains. Negatives include the odorous sulphur-smelling water, the lack of advance checkin info even when requested early due to our lack of internet, the lone blowdryer hidden in the laundry room, and lack of communication with property manager. Overall, a really nice place!
Nice home with a view of the mountains. Outside of the main hustle of town, so very relaxing. The stars go on and on...
Nice house, great views. Communication with owner was good. Water was definitely rural. The house and beds comfortable and the house had everything we needed. Would like to have a better backyard space as other travelers have recommended, but not a deal breaker. It is exactly as shown in pictures. A nice place to get away and relax after hiking.
The place was nice enough, but the listing said the water is hard and said nothing of the smell of sulfur that comes with running the water, in the sink or the shower. It’s very strong and has left yellow stains on the toilets. The pictures are misleading, they make it look like there aren’t any neighbors nearby at all and there are. They aren’t super close, but they aren’t in any of the images so the seclusion that it appears to have it does not.
Overall experience was good. House was very well laid out. We had 5 adults and 1 toddler and never felt crowded. Only real negative was the lack of a finished yard and outside relaxing area.
Almost brand new house. Very clean, comfortable and well stocked. They provided coffee, filters, simple spices, generous starter supplies of tp, paper towels, soaps, detergents, etc. Elevation is about 7500ft, so it is 10-15degrees cooler here then in Moab. The house is rural on a dirt road. Takes about an hour to arches, or canyonlands sky island unit. But you are closer then most other people to Needles unit, only 1.5hr, it is very remote. The house is excellent. Great place for exploring SW Utah.
Clean and quiet. No complaints.
