Stayed 4 nights, June 2019. The property is old, very dark (inside) and tired-looking. For such a large house, the sole WC is very tiny, as is the shower. We thought the wooden kitchen and table surfaces were unhygienic with the grooves thereon collecting particles of food and dust. In our opinion, the property could do with some updating. Also, even though we knew beforehand that there was no internet, we think - in the 21st century - this facility would be very convenient at any property. That aside, we had an enjoyable stay in this tranquil house in a beautiful part of Normandy.

A delightful little house tucked away in the woods near Dieppe - just like the pictures. The housekeeper was helpful and friendly. Extra costs for heating, cleaning, etc. were a little off-putting.

We stayed in Catherine's home for four days this spring. She was very friendly and helped us decide where to find groceries and supplies during our stay, as well as pointing out the best ways to reach the oceanside. The house has three bedrooms and beds for five. You could fit a couple of other small people very comfortably. The kitchen has everything you need, and there is a big dining table as well as a small sitting area. Since the house is so near the water, you have to be careful to air it out daily. While there's a washing machine, there's no dryer. Because of the humidity, you'll need an extra day to dry your clothes. The neighborhood is a beautiful one, and it's only a short (maybe a kilometer or so) walk to peaceful rocky beaches. We thoroughly enjoyed hiking in the area, and took day-long driving trips to Mont Saint Michel (about three hours) and Giverny (about two hours). The only reason I can't give Catherine's property five stars is not her fault. While it is mostly a quiet neighborhood, the neighbors, in particular one next-door neighbor, are rather inconsiderate with their dogs. The next-door neighbor's dog's favorite barking spot is about 10 meters from the bedroom window. This makes an afternoon nap or sleeping in very difficult. The dogs aren't out all the time, but when they are out - and they are from early in the morning - it's loud. Of course, you can't complain to anyone when you're only staying for four days. If you don't mind dogs or have one of your own, I would heartily recommend this house.
