We had a lovely stay. We are a family of 6 and stayed here very comfortably. Check in and check out process was very easy. The cabin is rustic and charming. The view is wonderful. We stayed in the spring and had everything from 70 and sunny to 30 and snow the wee we stayed, and it was so fun to see the landscape change.

There were a couple minor issues when I arrived and the owner was immediate in the response and easy to work with. Turns out the previous guest made a mess of the blender and the host wanted it cleaned thoroughly for the next guest so she brought it right over. The house is just far enough out of town with a nice perch on a cliff and a great west facing view. It is also centrally located if you want to go to Rapid City, Hill City, Custer, or Deadwood. Overall what really stood out was the host's communication and responsiveness to the minor issues that popped up. It is also at the end of a private drive and there is a nice neighborhood loop you can walk after meals in a peaceful setting. What really stood out was how much the host cared about my stay being comfortable so thank you again for being so accommodating and proactive.

We loved our stay at this cabin near Rapid City! The house was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed. The location is peaceful but still close to all the major attractions—just 40 minutes to Mt. Rushmore and about an hour to Deadwood. The hot tub was amazing after long days of exploring. Plenty of space for kids, and our dog felt right at home too. Perfect place for a family getaway!

This property is in the perfect location for everything there is to do in the Black Hills! Check-in was super easy and the house had everything we needed. We were out and about most of our trip, but when we were at the cabin, we did thoroughly enjoy the views that the property had to offer.

Nice cabin but areas were somewhat dirty. Comforters on bed were all dirty & the smell was very old & musty but overall nice place.

The house was retro (re: dated) but the location by the Black Hills and Pactola Lake kept us busy. The real gem was the hot tub overlooking the hills.

Overall the house was great. After driving 13 hours it was nice to be able to relax in the hot tub and then turn in on a pretty decent bed. We visited at the end of March so the temps outside varied a lot so there wasn't much time spent outside on the property other than getting into the hot tub. The only thing I would say was a negative is that the dishwasher wasn't working. I didn't want to spend time doing dishes but sadly we had to. I am hoping that the hosts will have the problem fixed for the next renter so they don't have to deal with that. Otherwise, the place was great. The TV's all had either a Roku hooked up or they were smart TVs. Bring your log in information in case nothing is logged it but you can wind down with your favorite shows or a movie. Plenty of towels for everyone and places for everyone to relax and spread out. I would definitely recommend this place to stay. BE CAREFUL of driving at night. So many wild animals just walking around and running across the roads but so cool! The deer, turkeys, and even bighorn sheep all wander around at night.
