Covid forced us to cancel our Disney trio so we stumbled upon this listing and it was better than we could imagine! Great private spot, quiet time away, all the amenities you need but close to town for anything you might need. Owners are lovely and stopped by to give us tickets to Squam science center, was such a nice treat. Thanks for a great week we will always remember! We all caught our first fish :)
We had a wonderful week at this cabin in Moultonborough! Everything was just as it was listed! Cabin was very clean with lots of linens and towels for us to use and very spacious for our family. The cabin had a beautiful view of this quiet lake which was just steps away from a private sandy beach and dock. It was great having the kayaks, canoe and boats to use whenever we would like. And it was a perfect spot for using the firepit at night where you can look up at the stars and listen to the loons calling each other. We can't wait to visit there next year!
We loved this place!!! While well used and worn, the perks are SO worth it. The cabin’s view is unbeatable, and there isn’t a seat inside or outside where you can’t take it in. The place was clean and we noticed how nice it smelled as soon as we walked in - a lovely surprise in any summer cabin in the woods. The basics are there for you and the place has a homey feel - a hand-knitted blanket on the back of the couch, big old recliners, a dining table perfect for jigsaw puzzles, etc. But it is the sparkling water, the green mountains, the Loon calls, the starry nights, that make it a place we plan to return. It is conveniently located to all your basic needs, though the one drawback is the price you pay for that - traffic noise from the busy road not far away. But despite that, you feel like you have your own little corner of nature. The lake is relatively quiet (compared to Squam, Winnipesaukee, and Winnisquam), so we often felt like we had the lake completely to ourselves, and the water is glorious. We often swam 3 times a day. The dock is lovely (our daughter loved doing her yoga routine on it every morning) and watercraft is provided, though we ended up not using the kayaks because the seats were really ripped. The sandy seating area was really lovely and the lawn chairs provided comfortable, and the VIEW!!! We enjoyed several lovely evening fires in the fire pit. If cracked grout and stained linoleum tiles, worn carpet, and kitchen appliances dating to the 70s worry you, look elsewhere, but you will not find a more beautiful spot anywhere!!
We enjoyed a perfect week at this rustic cottage! The views were spectacular -especially the sunsets and all the loon activity. Having access to the kayaks, the raft and the fire pit made us not want to leave! Thank you Sydney for your hospitality! We will be back!
Family vacation in August 2018. House was everything we wanted and expected. Location on the water was fantastic. Great property.
We arrived with various adult children and other family members arriving from time to time throughout the week and this cottage could not have been better. The lake, the dock, the boats, the deck and beach allowed us to relax in the sun, enjoy the gorgeous lake and entertain our guests. We had everything we needed inside the cottage to cook and to enjoy the lake. We were also able to find local hikes, walks, mini golf and ice cream to enjoy. Looking forward to returning in the future
