A perfect little cottage for a getaway for two, to the lake. Great experience and would happily return someday.

Great location, clean accommodations. We were there during an extremely cold time and the heat didn't exactly keep up, but we understand that. Perhaps tell guests to bring their own drinking water bc the water smells awful and it's probably from a well. Just set expectations and all will be right! Also, please provide a map to the bear bin. We felt like we were using a neighbor's bin.

A great place to stay! The check-in and check-out process was super simple and the host is welcoming and attentive. The cottage was cozy and really clean. It’s close to town amenities and easy to find. We loved the Lake and mountain views! Great experience all around. Highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting the Lakes Region!

Loved our stay at this perfect little lake cottage! We loved sitting down by the lake. The cottage was comfy! We grilled steaks and used the brand new toaster/airfryer for baked potatoes. We loved exploring the area from the cottage: a trip to Portsmouth for lobster rolls, a visit to the Hermit Woods winery, hours of driving through the amazing state and during peak leaf colors!

The location and property are magnificent! We spent many hours on the lake using the paddle boards and kayaks at the property. Each morning, I read and drank my tea on the lovely lakeside patio. The cottage is lovely. However, Vacasa, the property management company, was not good at giving correct info. They told me that even though the property specs said there were kayaks and paddle boards that they were not for me to use. After back and forth communications about this from different people (no there aren’t, yes there are, no there aren’t) it was finally communicated that there were two kayaks for our use.The day before we left for our trip, I was unable to view the property specs to see what I should bring. I was told that there was no refrigerator, no dishes, silverware. I brought several coolers, ran out and bought paper products and packed silverware from home only to get there and find a full-sized fridge, plates and silverware. Although the house appeared clean upon arrival, we kept finding a previous guest’s hairs everywhere. Sharing the property with the visitors in The Carriage House was not a problem at all. Everyone was courteous and kind. The BBQ was great! We hiked during the day and swam and played in the lake in the evening followed by BBQing. It was August and we did not need air conditioning because of the beautiful breezes all day and night! The landscaping is lovely and the property is magnificent! Vacasa just needs to get their act together!

Our family absolutely loved the property and amenities. Paddleboards, kayaks, great yard and view. Perfect for our twin 9-year-old daughters. You’ll need your own lifejackets. Cottage was perfect size for our family. Kids slept on pullout in their “own room”, which has great shades for sleeping in and great mini split for AC. Bring your own pillows, though. Wife and I didn’t love the queen bed, which could easily be a King with a better frame, but clean and nicely dark after a long day in the water. Property location cannot be beat-secluded and off the beaten path, perfectly quiet to unwind away from the hustle of other spots. If you want the noise and commotion stay elsewhere. If you’re like me and wanted an early AM coffee right by the lake then this is your spot! Would stay again!

This property was beautifully maintained, plenty of parking, easy access to the water, awesome location far enough away from the hustle and bustle but close enough that it was worth it to venture out to some of the lakefront communities with shops and such. We’re already talking about going back!

My daughter and I stayed in the Cottage for a long weekend. Jean and Ken were the kindest most gracious hosts. We grilled filet mignon bought from JoJo’s and sweet corn that we bought at a road side farm on the grille. I made a beautiful breakfast of bacon and eggs and homemade bread and jam in the griddle. There is a full size fridge for groceries, a super comfortable living room sofa and a beautiful tv for catching a movie after a full day of fun activities on the lake. There is both heat and air conditioning. The property itself is outstanding located right on the lakes edge. My favorite memory was the memories we made using the kayaks and the daily visits from the Loons. We saw five deer right on the road adjacent to the property, hence the name Deer Haven Road. We loved it so much we booked a second stay in October for leaf peeping. This is a memory that my daughter and I will have in our hearts forever. Blessed and grateful!
