This is a big old Victorian house with apartments. The rooms were big and nicely furnished.
If you are looking for modern, this isn't for you. Original floors, bathroom, woodwork and built-ins. Very quant and charming. Walking distance to beach and just over the bridge from Salem. The owners were very nice and even hung a happy birthday banner for my daughter. I would have given 5 stars if it had been cleaned a little better and there were alot of outdated items and literature. We enjoyed our stay.
Beautiful house , close to everything , wonderful host!
We chose this property because it was in close proximity to Salem. Owner was wonderful with communicating before check in and during stay! Quaint neighborhood I’m walking distance to many bars/restaurants. House was a bit musty smelling.
Two block walk to main street that had lots of restaurants. Nice neighborhood to walk in and close proximity to the beach.
The place was nice, my one complaint is whoever is above the rental space (not sure if it was the owner or another renter) makes a ton of noise walking around pretty much all hours of the day. It was fairly quiet at night though. Overall it was a good stay.
We loved the place as well the location. Would definitely recommend and would come back again.
Roomy one bedroom apartment in a lovely old Victorian house, just a short walk from the waterfront and also an easy walk to Cabot Street, which has many great breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Scott was a terrific host, and allowed us to hold a small family gathering in the apartment, which was large enough to fit a dozen guests comfortably.
The space is just as adorable and cozy as pictured. I felt like I was staying at family home, and best of all the beach and town were steps away. Scott was friendly and quick to respond if we had questions, but otherwise did not disturb our vacation at all! He even left a couple of refreshments in the fridge for us upon our arrival. We stayed during a heat wave, and the spot had two air conditioners that kept the space cool. The best part of the trip was watching thunder storms roll in on the porch while taking a break from cooking dinner.
Was in town from Chicago meeting up with a good friend from western MA and this rental was perfect for us. Clean, spacious, close the beach and restaurants. Would stay at again!
The space was well equipped with a ample storage and seating, great appliances, and an easy option for ceiling fan, air conditioning , or open windows. Our favorite part of the stay was taking the two beach chairs down to the sandy shorefront (only a block away!) and enjoying some morning coffee by the water. We can't wait to stay again.
