A comfortable bedroom with a private entrance & small private bathroom. 10 minutes from Pahoa Village with restaurants & shops. 35 minutes from Historic Hilo Town with much to see!! Hawaiian Volcano Park is about 45 minutes away with a crazy view of the lava in the caldera (recommend night visit to really take it in.)

Stayed Jan 27, 2026Clean room (and clean bathroom outside), cute location, dark skies, and the feeling of being in the midst of a forest with all sorts of bird, insect, and amphibian noises. We greatly enjoyed are stay! I would have liked to have met Melanie but we arrived late and left early.

Stayed Aug 27, 2024The room is like on the pictures. We were a bit disapointed by the area of the listing, but the mistake could really on our end by not doing enough research. The room was super clean. It got pretty hot during our stay even with the fans on, but this is out of the owners control? The bathroom and general living area are outside, a bit like camping. Overall fair for the price we paid.

Stayed Mar 6, 2023The room I stayed in was decorated very Hawaianish. Melanie communicated well, I just didn’t listen well. Shared bathroom with one other person which was sort of outside and felt a little like camping but nicer. I loved it and having coffee and pot there was nice touch. Melanie checked in with me several times to see if i needed anything. Mahalo.
