Awesome cottage perfect for get away from daily life!!

This was an excellent relaxing time. The only that would improve it would be if we had stayed longer that would have been nicer.

Comfortable place with everything we needed. The private trail is easy to access and goes right to the beach. It was a great place to stay while we were exploring the Brookings area.

We could see the ocean from couch, bedroom and hot tub. The path to the beach is easy to maneuver. Exploring the rocks at low tide was cool!! Awesome host.

House was very nice, clean and comfortable. We appreciated the well stocked cabinets!The Hot Tub was wonderful after a day of hiking in the rain!Was quit the trek down to the beach but worth every step.Owner- Ken- very helpful and informative.

The place was not as clean as so many reported. We toured the place before we stayed, as we are local. It looked clean and nicely decorated. But there was lots of dirt in the corners behind the toilet, etc. I wiped surfaces and came away with a lot of grime and odds and ends left behind by others (a q tip and eye shadow wand under the bathroom rug etc.) Some mold in the shower. Mold and dirt on and in the washer and dryer. The place is nice but needs a very deep clean and then maintenance. Need to get rid of old food in the cupboards, like open corn chips. We threw away a mustard in the fridge outdated in 2022. Stuff like that. We were comfortable, other than the sanitation and weathered the flu while there. We were there for eleven days while our place was getting new flooring and paint. The hot tub had sand in it, the first time we used it and half of the jets didn't work.

It was such a cute spot. Well stocked kitchen, and super cozy bed. We especially loved the ocean view from the hot tub, and tide pooling at the beach right behind the property!

Our host Ken was very welcoming and the cottage was clean & well equipped with everything we needed — even bathing suits for use in the hot tub. The beach below was easily acceptable and stunning. We will definitely return.

Everything was perfect. This was one of the most enjoyable stays I have ever had, from the accommodations to the nice host. The stars at night from the hot tub helped a lot too.I'll be back for sure.

So helpful even when we lost power!

We had an amazing stay. The bed was super comfortable, which was awesome. The host was very nice and responsive. The hot tub was perfect for the chilly nights. We would definitely stay here again.

We only stayed one night to see the Brookings Light Festival but the stay was a warm place to stay, satellite tv, and coffee in the morning. The private trail to the beach was great.

This was such a great experience. The hosts live in the property in front of the cottage (which is attached to the garage). It has a private yard space and a view of the ocean from the living room. The decor is a little dated, but it is well maintained, super clean and very comfortable. Access to the beach is via a path past the main house, but easy to do. It is a little steep, which wasn’t an issue for me, but might be for others. The beach was beautiful with many of the rock features that this area is renowned for. It’s super convenient for exploring this area. All in all I had a very comfortable stay, and would definitely come back again. Excellent value for the price.

Comfortable accommodations with great beach access

We loved our stay in Brookings! We found our place to have everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the walk to the beach was short and easy. During low tide we were able to see the tidepools.The town of Brookings was great. There were many places to eat and the Chetco Brewery had many tasty beers. The beach options and hiking trails were numerous and we never lacked for things to do or places to go.

It was private just had a little bit of a problem cooking needed a baking dish for my scalloped potatoes couldn't find one and needed a rack for pan to steam my artichoke couldn't find one and spices could be a little better no garlic very nice people enjoyed our stay would go again don't forget your coffee wasn't sure if it was drip or K-Cup and they have both which is nice

Great place to stay ,well appointed and right by a beautiful beach.It was great we could include our dogs. View of the ocean from this cottage and a short 1 or 2 minute walk to the ocean.

Everything was perfect!! This is a very comfortable, accommodating home to stay in with dogs. They enjoyed themselves as much as we did!! The property is lovely and very quiet. We will definitely be back for more rest and relaxation.

Extremely clean, comfortable, all as advertised. Great location for exploring the southern Oregon Coast and Northern California redwoods! Bed was very comfortable, bedding, sheets, pillows, towels, etc. all very high quality. Very quiet - except for the lovely ocean waves when we opened the sliding door and sat in the hot tub. We will be back!

Very hospitable , enjoyed walk to beach and they let our kids play in their parking lot riding scooters which really helped us.

It was like staying at my own place on the beach. So comfy, cozy and all around friendly place. Loved the short walk to the beach. Relaxed in the clean hot tub. Took advantage of the close proximity of the surrounding sights & shopping. Our host, Ken, is one of the beast! Thank you, Ken! Loved our stay & can't stop talking about our beach weekend!

Everything about this place was great. The check-in, the ease of all amenities, the view, the hot tub, and the bed. I will stay here again.

Unfortunately we had an emergency come up and could not stay. He made sure we were reimbursed and welcomed us in the future. Having lived in Brookings I know the street the home is on and cannot wait to stay and be near the ocean and our favorite dog park!!

My family stayed for 2 nights and had a lovely time. Hot tub is an excellent way to relax after getting worn out playing on the beach with kids. Definitely recommend for small groups.

Ken and Jean are fabulous hosts and the small home was perfect for us. The king size bed was better than what we have at home - maybe the most comfortable we've ever slept in! There's an attached garage with washer and dryer, a hot tub, an incredible DVD collection, and STUNNING ocean views. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful to work with. Very accommodating. The property is right above a magnificent beach. The sand is larger and there are spectacular small rocks.. Of all colors!! Simply the most gorgeous little beach I've ever seen. Was heartbroken when we had to leave 5 hours after getting there because of a family emergency.

We enjoyed our stay. Ken was always available to answer questions and was very friendly. This was the best experience we have had to date and highly recommend it. The bed was the most comfortable we have slept in. Birds were always singing around our little patio and the hot tub was the perfect way to unwind before bed. Highly recommended

Not super fancy, but clean, comfortable, quiet and cozy. Perfect for us two senior citizens and our dog. Third time we've stayed here in as many visits to .the coast and we love it. We really appreciate the short walk to the beach. Ken is a very nice gentleman to deal with and we're happy to give our business to a veteran

We had an amazing time! We brought our two dogs, and the relatively private beach/ beach access went above and beyond our expectations. We all had a great time, dogs most of all. What a gem. Definitely plan on coming back again!

My wife and I really enjoyed our time here. It’s really a good feeling to look forward to coming back to your place after a long day out and about. The inside was very clean, it had the essentials in the kitchen to get by. Wonderful to wake up open your slider and walk out to your own private little space with a view and all the sounds of the ocean. It would work for a young family but would be pushing the bounds for comfort/privacy with 4 adults. Hot tub was nice and functional. It could have been a tad bit cleaner, but we are a bit OCD when it comes to that. We will be staying there again and are looking forward to it.

Quick overnight stay on way to Eugene. Ken is awesome (other than he wouldn’t let me drive the convertible ;-)) One bedroom unit perfect for a couple. The path to the beach is a great amenity. The beach is full of driftwood and big BIG rocks. Brookings has a number of restaurants just a few miles away. We chose Oxenfre. Excellent service and food. If we ever get out here for another trip we will be looking up this place again!

We stayed in the Ocean view cottage and had our own private little house. It was beautiful, well equipped and a very short and private walk to the beach. It's also really close to everything in Brookings, and a short drive into the Redwoods! Would highly recommend this spot for rest and gorgeous views!

This was a gem! A great location and awesome place to stay, had kitchen, bed was so comfortable and the hot tub was great in morning and at nights to relax. The owner was so friendly and even had washer and dryer if needed. Will stay again, wonderful place

I didn't stay. Property was not as described so I found a different place that offered what i was looking for.

My little family used this spot while we enjoyed the coast and the Redwoods. The space was clean, accessible, and exactly what we needed.

Location was great, it was easy to get to several hikes in the redwood forest and to Brookings. The unit was very comfortable, we had a great stay.

The owners are the best! The cottage is well stocked and very comfortable. Our Border Collie had a ball at the beach everyday chasing sticks. Nice Brew pubs in Brookings and cost of living is definitely a plus. A nice and relaxing holiday.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The place is very clean & comfortable. It's steps to the beach, which we enjoyed. Ken made everything very easy & was available if we needed him. The place is inexpensive, which we also appreciated. We had a good time, even though it is winter. Beautiful beaches & rivers & forests.

Beautiful place

The host was amazing and very accommodating. The listing however was not correct. This is a property that has two rentals the owner lives on the property. Beach access for the single room has to walk by the top floor of the owner's house to down below to the downstairs rental. The beach is amazing but just wish we were aware of this.

Nice ocean front cottage

Ken and Jean were spectacular, they left plenty of instructions, maps, suggestions, and everything was very easy. They were easy to get ahold of if we needed, but gave us our privacy. Great location, beautiful place. Would definitely stay here again.

The wife and I really enjoyed our week long stay. The beach walks and the beauty that is there is truly wonderful. The host was great and even helped us unload our car when we arrived. Town close by should you need anything.

I appreciated the space more, in-person than the photos! The bathroom & bedroom were cute & had the basic luxury I sought. The kitchen has what it needs, the living room small but again, judt enough! The electric fire place was a nice touch! I'd stay again-the two issies for feedback were the hottub seemed to he working, yet not able to heat. I couldn't get it above 87° & outside was about 55°. The thermostat reached 104°, yet the true temp wasn't there. Inimagine that's a challenging maintenence piece, for winter. I'd also say it's essential to state that the private path to the beach does require a dozen stairs & treading in thr yard that may disturb other renters if they have dogs that will be alerted. We had no issues, but that's info.to.be aware of. Being welcome to tend laundry was a nice bonus! I'd stay again!

Host was friendly and readily available. Super helpful when we had a dead battery even on Thanksgiving Day! Notes left for guests are clearly written and show how much the host wants you to enjoy the area. Rental was well stocked with necessities. This was great for a trip for our family to sneak to the Redwoods and enjoy the coast a bit also!

We had stayed in the 2 bedroom unit a few years ago and enjoyed our stay. This time we rented the 1 bedroom unit. We enjoyed our stay very much. Ken and Jean were great. I have only one suggestion, a grab bar in the shower for us seniors

The property was clean and right on the ocean! The hot tub was perfect for a soak after a good day on the coast. The unit was well stocked and comfortable. Can’t wait to come back!

Our stay was interrupted by car trouble. I called Ken to see if there were guests after us. Ken was so kind to send his son-in-law, plus he called a friend to come and help us. Home was older, but clean and had a private trail down to a nice beach. A couple of minor issues were resolved quickly by the host, such as replacing an old DVD player. Overall a great location that we would love to return to.

Ken & Jean are the best of host. Although the hot tub was not operational during our stay, they made other concessions that more than made up for it. We wanted for nothing during our 11 day stay, and with the most comfortable King size bed, we both have never slept better. This was our 3rd time staying here. The unit was clean and comfortable as always. Easy check in. Pretty disappointed to find the hot tub out of order. No fault of the owner, just my bad luck. We were able to use the one at the main house, but not nearly as convenient. Nice quiet area and beach and only a short drive to town. Nice stay overall.

This was a great one night stay at a cozy cottage. It was a nice change of pace from a hotel being able to do laundry and relax.

We used Ken’s place to explore and hike to several of the amazing beaches in southern Oregon. Then when we discovered how close we were to the Redwoods, we made a short jaunt into California as well. We slept well and used the kitchen for most of our meals. We also used the hot tub. Some if the jets aren’t functioning properly, but it was fun to sit out in it under the stars. The beach was disappointing because it was so covered in seaweed and sea debris (not Ken’s fault we know), you couldn’t reallly walk the beach without stepping all over it. We tried it once, then stuck to Harris beach and others. The couch could use an update as we both struggled to get up when sitting on it. Our favorite part of the stay was we were allowed to bring our well behaved golden retriever.

We stayed here for our Honeymoon and it was just amazing/perfect.....thank you so much!

We stayed in the one bedroom ADU ...it was really nice, clean and quiet. It was nice to have a small kitchen, a living room with electric fireplace.

It was sweet and simple as a jumping off point for our travels up the coast. We only spent one night but the accommodations were just what we needed!

The place was cozy and the owners made it even better by putting little touches like having an extra toothbrush handy. My only complaint was that the hot tub wouldn't get a bit hotter but it was still nice.

The property had everything we needed, and the apartment was clean, quiet and had a nice selection of DVD's. The furniture and decor is quite outdated, other than that, it was lovely!
