Private Topanga / Malibu Dream Home on State Park with Amazing Views, Pool & Spa

From the contact with the owners you can tell they don’t just rent their property to anyone. They have a beautiful home and take great care of it. We had a family of 5 and it was very comfortable. Honestly the outdoor space is stunning with amazing views. I would say the outdoor space wouldn’t suit under 5yr old children due to landscape. The home is well equipped and also well located for restaurants and shopping. Beaches such as Santa Monica and Malibu are around 35 minute drive away. They have some great hiking trails just a few minutes walk away also “suitable for mountain biking”. Rental car is a must. Overall great stay.

A wonderful home in a wonderful setting. Everything was most excellent, clean, comfortable, amenities and the views across the canyon are amazing. Lovely and quiet in a great location.Peter, Rhonda and Slater were great hosts and excellent communications made our stay very relaxing.Would be our number one choice if we return to the area.

For the month of July, we had the luck to stay at the “Santa Fé” designed beautiful home in the Santa Monica Mountains. The living spaces are wonderful with a chef’s kitchen and a fantastic terrace overlooking the mountains. The pool area and large deck with outdoor kitchen was our favorite. Malibu Beach is only 15 Minutes away. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Thank you!

Off the charts, 11 on a scale of 10. The views alone made it special but Peter and Rhonda have outfitted their home so thoroughly we lacked nothing. The decor is southwestern and professional and melds well with the surroundings. They met us on our arrival and spent an hour touring the property to make sure we knew how everything worked. A most gracious and accommodating host/hostess. The photos accurately display the property. I have used VRBO many times generally with good results…THIS WAS THE BEST. We prepared Christmas dinner and then the next day(with advance permission) had a dozen local adult family member's for brunch…. As smoothly as if at home. CANT SAY ENOUGH POSITIVE ABOUT THEIR CASA.

We have stayed in quite a few thousand-dollar-a-night villas, including Big Island, Maui, Turks & Caicos, Sedona, San Diego and BVI, to name a few. Casa Anton has leap-frogged to our top three. The first thing to mention is of course the view. To say it took our breadth away is actually an understatement. There's plenty of outdoor space, covered or otherwise, to enjoy that view. Wild life is in abundance. We had some pretty close up views of the falcons and a large grey owl. The inside is tastefully decorated. I am a kitchen kind of guy and this place does not disappoint at all, from high end appliances, e.g.Thermador, to professional cookware. Super clean, even the shelves in the fridge were lined. I can't comment on the entertainment system because we did not watch any, but it appears to have everything. Inside and outside speaker systems are nice touches. The remote for the pool and hot tub is very easy to use. Peter's numerous suggestions re activities and restaurants were spot on. Absolutely love this place.

I really lucked out finding this gem. Tucked away in a secluded cul de sac at the top of Topanga Canyon, this home has unobstructed and dramatic views of the protected canyon and hills beyond. For sure the best views in the neighborhood. It’s easy to spend hours just watchingthe sun play across the landscape. The home itself is clean, updated and decorated with love and taste. It is perfectly oriented to ensure privacy and capture the magical view. Easy and lovely 15 minute drive down the canyon to Malibu or down the other side of the hill to the Valley. With way you win being surrounded by nature just a stones through to the best the area has to offer. Owners are genuine and fantastic people. Highly recommend.

We love the southwestern flair of this getaway that has roomy spaces designed for comfort. The outdoor patio is well arranged to take full advantage of the view with seating options for whatever mood you're in. It is near all the local amenities, yet tucked away on a private cul de sac. Lots of hiking options without having to get in a car. Plus, the hosts are very responsive and helpful.

All positive things to say about the house. The listing is quite accurate in details and pictures of the home. It's comfortably furnished and quite roomy for a 3 bed/2 bath house. The high point of the property though is the large outdoor patio and swimming pool area which have exceptional views of the canyons. Even though the home is on a cul-de-sac with neighboring houses quite close, the views from outside look out onto nothing but nature. (Even our LA friends were impressed.) Our week-long stay went by without a hitch. The owners were pleasant and very helpful throughout the process. A good choice if you want a country feel that is still relatively close to much of West LA (Santa Monica, Malibu, Venice Beach, etc.)

A friend and I stayed at this stunning Topanga mountain home as we dropped our incoming freshmen off at college. We both attribute how fun, gorgeous and even spiritual it was to experience this big life transition in a home such as Peter and Rhonda’s, who could not have been more warm, welcoming or responsive. The outdoor area has multiple nooks and comfortable seating areas in which to watch the stars, sunrises and mountains. The interior and kitchen is perfectly equipped for any manner of cooking. We all hope to return and are so grateful for the experience.
