Stayed Nov 20, 2025Great option for a quick trip to visit nearby Great Sand Dunes National Park (with a dog). Had a relaxed late meal at Bliss Cafe in nearby Crestone (again, with the dog) then settled in for the night. Breakfast at Roast Cafe in Alamosa, then on to the Park. Perfect for our party of three's short stopover; everything we could need.

Stayed Oct 13, 2025We had a great stay at this awesome house. The views were amazing both inside and outside. Don’t underestimate the staircase though, it is tricky to get up and down, especially in the middle of the night.

Stayed Jul 15, 2025Very comfortable and cute home! It was convenient to the great sand dunes, zapata falls, and the gator farm. They have a sweet basket of goodies for guests yes among with dogs too, it was a thoughtful touch. I definitely recommend.

Stayed May 31, 2025This was a great little house! It was very comfortable and clean and had all the things we needed and wanted to make this a small home away from home. The host was thoughtful with all of the little touches. Only drawback is the location, while it is beautifully tucked in against the mountains it is a bit of a drive to get to most places we were trying to see.

Stayed Dec 22, 2024This was just what we needed. A quiet family getaway with amazing views in a beautiful home. Home was fully equipped with everything we needed. Crestone Mercantile offered all the supplies. We enjoyed a day at Joyful hot springs and a hike up the Sand Dunes. Location was perfect and we are thankful for the communication we received.

Stayed Nov 1, 2024The unit was superb, the condiments in the fridge was not necessary, but the first time we have seen that. Dark sky was incredible. We even hiked up to the Ziggarut! We did the jigsaw puzzle and enjoyed the newsletters, brochures and flyers that were left - read them all. Drove all the way around in Sand Dunes - much longer that ecpecgted, but those were spectacular.

Stayed Jun 3, 2024Loved, loved, loved this house and property! Everything was done tastefully upscale including decorative, easy to follow labels and instructions, ease of access, and comfy beds and bedding. Beautiful views from every window and quiet neighborhood. Stars galore! It is obvious that management is professional and thoughtful. Crestone has 2 food markets, so easy getting supplies within a few minutes drive. The dog supplies were thoughtful and most appreciated! Thank you for sharing your lovely home.

Stayed May 28, 2024My family of five were looking for a place to stay the night before heading to Great Sand Dunes National Park. We did not know anything about the Crestone, Colorado, area, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staircase to the upstairs beds is a lot of fun and requires a bit of balance to ascend. The bedrooms and livingroom area were spacious and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. The showers were excellent. We had a little time to explore and took a short but rugged drive to the Crestone Ziggurat. Crestone is small, and the few restaurants were closed the night we were there. We went to the Crestone Mercantile and got everything we needed to eat back at the VRBO property. When we realized Crestone is in an area recognized as a Dark Sky area, we stepped outside the property between 9:30 and 10 and were awed by the spectacular view of the sky. The next morning, we headed to Great Sand Dunes National Park. It was about 30 minutes to the park entrance and close to another 30 minutes to get to the parking area. This propery and Crestone worked very well for us!
