This was our second year at this property. It is perfect for us. The location, the cleanliness , the amenities are all just great. Our 4 yr old grandson asked to go back to the same place. He loves the pool, the “sand lot” (fenced in play area) and the sand box. The distance to the beach is wonderful. You can even see some of the ocean from the back deck. So easy to just open the door, the upper deck gate and just let the dogs out. No walking them needed. We really enjoyed our stays at Barefoot Retreat! Thank you for sharing this property !

Great host with fast responses to questions. Pool was amazing. Very clean rooms. Very short walk to the beach. We appreciated the various gates outside; they gave us peace of mind that if our dogs did get out, they wouldn't get far. Plenty of activities in case the kids got bored (swings, cornhole, sandbox, etc.). We could have used a few more towels.

The house was super warm and inviting. I especially loved the gate system - it is perfect for kids and pets. The house sits behind some bushes and trees and that really helps you to feel isolated, while still being so close to the center of town.

Great location; clean, spacious, had pool heated and it was very nice. Close to beach had a great time. Would definitely rent again.

The MOST dog friendly house we’ve had on the island in 25years. Owners have thoughtfully designed the outdoor play yard with double gates for easy rinse off, gated porch for safe lounging, to the dog bowls & beds inside. Beyond impressive and super clean. Thank you for sharing this beauty with our family!

Right size for our family (6 people, 2 dogs.) Nice pool and close walk to beach. Comfortable beds, large kitchen and great water pressure too!

I would absolutely recommend this home to anyone looking for a family and pet friendly place to stay! The host has 100 percent thought of everything you may need for your stay. Such a cozy and clean home, the pool was great and the balcony was definitely a favorite spot. My family (pets included) enjoyed this stay soooo much!!

We absolutely love this property- the proximity to the beach and town, the pool, decor, everything. The owner has thought of everything you could need for your vacation.

For a family of 5, my husband and I, our son and his wife, and our almost 4 year old grandson ( along with our two fur babies) this vacation couldn’t have been much better! The owners definitely created this space with family in mind, all members! It was our first time not staying on the beach. I was sort of down about it. The ocean can be seen from the back deck. YES. The trip to the beach was less than two minutes by golf cart. The dogs could freely come and go from porch to fenced in play yard. They enjoyed both. The landscape was very pleasing to the eye. The pool was crystal clear and the sandbox was right up my grandsons alley! He spent a lot of time there. We all enjoyed the pool. My husband and son enjoyed corn hole. We all decided that the amenities alone made up for not being beach front. The house was so nicely decorated and very comfortable. It was beyond our expectations! We visit once a year and would certainly revisit this beautiful and fun filled home! Thank you to the owners for sharing your HOME with us. That’s what it felt like, a home.

5 stars Susan’s house is wonderful. Super clean and comfortable. More than enough kitchen and household supplies. The house is also well set up for youngsters and pets if needed. We didn’t use the pool but it is larger than most others we saw. Short walk to beach in quiet area of the island. We’ll definitely book here again.
